New 52 was such a mixed bag - we also got a really good Action Comics run from Grant Morrison. That Superman was so vastly different from the authoritarian we got in Frank Miller’s work

I had a joke about Ronald Reagan still being President even though he now obviously has Alzheimer's, but it felt a little too real.

Crossgen was generally awesome and remains my biggest regret over the "big two" dominance of the comics industry. So many interesting story ideas, great characters, and of course fantastic artwork... but it all came crashing down and never got a resolution.

The cover of Meridian 36 1:44 is beautiful. I love the line work.

The outfit on the cover reminds me of the recently released video game Stellar Blade. The game has been a huge success for some reason...anyways there are a ton of sexy outfits to unlock in the game. It reminds me a lot of the games (and TV shows) that were released when Mystic was on the shelves.

Not only did it get made, it and ALL of the canon doujins need an anime adaptation and I will die on that hill. Edit : So I just read Amazing Eighth Wonder #4 with Athena's second time traveling daughter who is 12. . . . .And wearing the 8th wonder suit. . . . . . Ughhhh. . . . . Alright, maybe SOME parts need not be animated.

One of the coolest things about Dragon Ball at the right time when the show was still running on mexican public TV was Goku growing up, it was kind of an unique feeling to grow up and suddenly notice Goku is also getting taller/less chibi up until the 23rd World Tournament and he's finally a full blown young adult.

My first introduction to Dragon Ball was on Fox Kids. I liked it but even then I thought the battles took way too long.

He's no Dick Cabot. Man, that's a reference even before my time. 😂 Maybe he should have asked the Manga-ka what was their blood type. I hear that's popular in Japan.

What made me grow up as a man? Zero Hour. That is when I realized that big people like DC comics are corporate hogs. They want your money, so they make the Dumbest Hawkman Origin story a human can think of and fill in other books with useless information. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, we all love the work of Steve Ditko, but you are going to need a real professional to come and make Hawk and Dove to reach the peak level.

I remember collecting Marv Wolfman's Night Force comics. I really think he was one of the first writers whose books I would seek out, regardless of genre or character.

Some old school KZbin vibes for sure :) I hadn't heard about this, and it sounds pretty cool, actually. I'd try and match the levels of the intro and outro music a little better to the rest of the video. And, solid puppetry too :)

KZbin recommended Greg the Bunny to me yesterday. The humor reminded me of this channel. Probably why it showed up in my recommendations. Also, there were too many H's in the German salute.

Hello there. I've been watching your show on KZbin and I really enjoy it. If I may, would you ever consider reviewing works by Kyoko Okazaki ? Or perhaps Sophie Campbell? Just a thought. Anyway, thanks for your time and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words! Our goal with this show was always to poke fun at strange books. I'm personally a huge fan of Sophie Campbell. Have been since The Abandoned. Glad to hear from a fellow fan.

Ah, this is Orson Welles in his infamous wine commercial. I still see that clip occasionally. The puppet always throws me off, lol. Maurice LaMarche's take on Welles was stellar in Pinky and the Brain. That was a great cartoon. "Gee Brain, what are we gonna do tonight? The same thing we do every night, Pinky! Try to take over the world!" -Maniacal laughter followed by thunder and lightning.

The continuity error reminds me of the when the Simpson's addressed the issue in Season 8. "Doug: In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is a magic xylophone, or something? Ha ha, boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder. Homer: I'll field that one. Let me ask you a question. Why would a grown man whose shirt says "Genius at Work" spend all of his time watching a children's cartoon show? Doug: I withdraw my question. [starts eating a candy bar]" I'm not saying you're wrong though and as for arguing with puppets...why do you think I'm here? Honestly, this just sounds like a normal conversation at the comic book store.
