I love this idea and want to do this so badly. Where do you go to get the materials to make thins besides breast milk and how much breastmilk is used?
@rikkijo40783 жыл бұрын
I mean this with no disrespect? But other than vanity and narcissistic reasons, why would someone do this?
@modbotsteph9973 жыл бұрын
narcissistic? Educate yourself. Do you realize that nursing or pumping for your own child or others is the least narcissistic thing you can do? Not to mention there is NO vanity involved in it whatsoever. Women do this because they give up so much to provide for a baby, whether it their own or others. We give up hundreds if not thousands of hours prepping and cleaning parts, and pumping. When we nurse we give up freedom of doing things when we want to, not to mention the discomfort of a bite or the sore nipples. But we do it because we know how much it HELPS our breastfed babies, we do it because they get so much from us, we do it because it's AMAZING to be able to have a tiny human grow, just from something created from our bodies. This jewelry helps women mark this, because it is a literal JOURNEY, not something we do out of selfishness, narcissism, or vanity. :\

@@modbotsteph997 So, it's empowering, then. With power comes responsibility. Narcissistic behavior sometimes holds hands with empowerment, and the words of our hearts comes out of our mouths. I didn't even know there were people that do this freaky stuff. Seems ritualistic the way you described this. Cult like. That's just my opinion.

@@gazinta no....you missed the point. Though I wouldn't expect a man to understand what it's like I suppose.
@normalane19713 жыл бұрын
@@gazinta I had so much left over breastmilk that couldn't be donated. You work so hard pumping that it seems so crazy to just throw it out. Why not do something with it instead? I started making soap with mine as breast milk is so good for different skin problems on babies like eczema and acne. Then I'm not spending money on soap bc I already have it in my freezer lol. I don't know if this makes sense to you. Just wanted to give my thoughts on it.
