I think the depth of the man was well captured in the bytes in the car ride and his earthy humor and relatable idioms in his public interactions with farmers. The film captures more than his story and presents the spirit of many farmers' leaders of karnataka in several ways. Thanks again.

Artisans do not figure in our discussions about the impact of Covid-19 on industries. I have always seen toy making in Channapatna as a tradition rather than as an industry. It's great to see a nonagenarian making toys. It's really disheartening to know that none of the children of the toy makers is involved in toy making today which shows that they do not see it as a means of livelihood. It's important to preserve and promote the toy-making tradition of Channaptna. Our modern rulers should lean a great deal from Tipu who was instrumental in starting this tradition. The short video provides a quick understanding of the status of this great tradition.

TODAY, for a third time, I just watched the docu-film Aghanashini and her Children.. as it happens every time, this time also, I was deeply moved with the life style of local people in around Aghanashini river; their poverty, their limited talent; and mechanical and monotised life style; it is horrible even to imagine; Urbanities may enjoy the river shore, the water, the green, the nature etc.,.... but not these local people, who live there only without any of these aesthetic sense; Why Government after Government wants to interfere in their peaceful life by so many unwanted,unnatural projects, which destroys the green belt atmosphere of the Aghanishini; Let government not do any favour to the locals, but should not harm their peaceful life style also; I am dumb-stuck with the movie; a big thank you to Kesari, who has shown the innner world to the entire world; why not more similar eco-nature based films from Kesari?

For me, this is very reminiscent of the current struggle faced by many in BC as the Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion and associated tanker traffic threatens our ecosystems, economy, and indigenous ways of life.
