This video is the reason I could quickly and easily understand DSC for my masters project, only lasting for 3 months. Saved my thesis, to be honest!

Thank you so much for this video. I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out why my revolve cut feature wasn't getting patterned until I figured I forgot to define an axis. Your effort is much appreciated

I'm a little confused at around the 6 minute mark. Why would a polymer crystallize as you are heating it up? Don't thinks become more and more amorphous/fluid-like as you heat them up?

Speaking as a structural engineer with a strong background in materials science and stress analysis but with no fracture mechanics education, this was an excellent overview that I found very easy to follow and extremely enlightening - the explanations made sense to me, and the graphics did a great job of supporting the points being made. I had to pause the video a few times to look up things like metal structure (e.g. body centered cubic), defects (crystalline imperfections), and what grains are and how they are formed, but this additional research was well worth the effort to allow me to fully follow this video. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this, it has helped me comprehend some fractography data I have been reviewing as part of a connection failure analysis!

I love how at the beginning he gives a great explanation of the differences between theory and reality. Theory can only get you so far before you need real world testing.
