Hopefully they stayed true to being rebels during Covid. All comes down to that.

I was born after this song was released. Honest confession: It was The California Raisins who introduced me to this song.

Ever since the album "The Question" came out, this song has been my all-time favorite of the Slackers. You might also like my solo piano cover of "Yes it's true". You can discover it on my channel "The Piano Mod". I would be happy if you would take a look.

This is a really good recording. Nice job! Audio quality matters, nice to hear good audio engineering. Thanks. And that organ, and that horn section... Awesome.

I have 45s going back to the '50s, which were stacked one upon the other, that do not have the pops and cracks this one does. Any chance some "embellishments" were added for the sake of authentic ambience? If so, it is highly exaggerated and annoying. Great song, though I prefer listening to it without the distractions. Watching the revolving record does not make up the difference.

Art Her body sways, like ocean sprays, when her emotions stray, I feel froze in place trying to catch her waves, each drop of her fluids pop congruent to a golden daze, the liquid is drizzle, it comes from the middle, and creates a rolling glaze, she’s hot but cool, I call her a cold wind blaze, the draft is pure elegance in every element that pulls in place, I try to speak to her over the net, and sing from a floating space, she’s too far for my trip, I try to get a grip but slip to this hole and wait, the rubble speaks sullen moods, finding the gravel track handfuls of a stolen ruse, confused by the lull handles that travel to the totem hoops, many men worship her body, she rocks hardy from a soft slowing cruise, her curves wrap themselves around the modified base of emboldened moves, she’s so strong but smooth, less filling, she’s reminiscent of light that cascades around a golden moon

The 70's when this song was popular, young people rebelled with a cause. We protested and demonstrated against injustice.

Dallas. This song was only played on the white stations first I guess because it hit #1 in the UK. The black stations was late getting played. I just happened to hear it on KLIF white station one night scrolling trying to find something I wanted to jam to. So I fell in love with it the first time I heard it so I’d wait every night the same time on KLIF. Finally KNOK black station weeks later got it. I called and called KNOK requesting them to play it. 😂😂
