How surreal. A Nazi using left-wing talking points to accuse the US of "white supremacism." As if he would find anything wrong with treating white Europeans (including Germans) better than Blacks or Japanese.

Are people really agreeing with Goering? lets just get it over it and gossip the fact that Jewish merchants have NEVER undermined German interests, but that's another thing. The germans have considerably eradicated a lot of roma, slavic people (not mentioning jews), not to mention the japanese empire, the japanese that had almost the same prejudice problems as America with Chinese (which we won't forget Unit 731), koreans, and every other ethnic asian, hell, considerably even worse than America or Britain combined. Yes, the allies weren't perfect, the combined allies had discriminated against africans, afro-americans, indians, japanese, and they were killed, but we all know, that natsocs always try to find an excuse to hate the jew, always try to say "that side did bad, so they arent good which means we are the good guys" hell, even Goering said all of it just so he could excuse antisemitism, so, what the fuck? He makes no good points, he's just saying things we all knew, doesn't make a world of natsocs a good thing. Goering - A selfish, flamboyant druggie who's practically a walking balloon. PS. The bombing of britain, netherlands (take rotterdam for example) and WARSAW (the whole city was destroyed) were committed by germans and killed a lot of civilians, there are more, but i wont dwell too deep into it. Please, don't just agree with a guy because he says what we all know, because we know deep inside, he's a natsoc, a person trying to find an excuse to hate other ethnicities.

An excellent scene which is so sardonically effective members of the audience found themselves sympathetic to Göring's talking points. Reading between the lines one does find just how empty Göring's what-aboutisms really are: The USA for one had a Germany first policy which under Roosevelt's supervision would've seen Germany nuked first if it stood as defendable as Japan was in 1945. The USA like most 20th century ally governments also did abduct citizens of German and Italian ethnicities in both World Wars. While it seems Göring hits the nail on the head pointing out the hypocrisy of America by "difference of degree" he fails to recognise in establishing his premise the dramatic contrast between discrimination and genocide - something most definitely deliberate! One should also be wise to the fact after Göring gets on a roll with his points he subtly shifts the goal-post from talking about American faults to perpetuating conspiracy like claims of freemasonry among merchants and quickly equating that to a problem endemic of a whole community. A very well written scene and masterfully performed.

Loved this movie and Brian Cox's portrayal of Goering, but I wish they didn't have him make a statement that was grossly historically inaccurate here. Thousands of German and Italian Americans were, in fact, put into American internment camps during World War II. Of course, many more Japanese-Americans were interned, they were targeted for their racial/ethnic affiliation as opposed to alleged political affiliations, and worst of all our organized crime-infested corrupt government essentially stole & redistributed (or forced into 'abandonment') all the assets they had accumulated with great diligence and thrift over generations, much of it in California no less. Please read Gus Russo's "Supermob" and see his analysis of FDR's Office of Alien Property during WW2 if you're interested in that tragedy where all the bad guys not only escape justice, but remain forever untarnished superheroes of democracy per their MSM-insulated bios and Wikipedia entries. If it seems to you like I'm going out of my way there just to quibble on a minor point like some loser "fact-checker" for its own sake, that's not my intent. It was a very common contention not that long ago in this country that the nisei were the *only* ones interned in U.S. WW2 'internment'/concentration camps, and though that revisionist narrative was never true it was sufficiently widespread for me to repeatedly encounter it in classes across three different univ. systems back in the mid-late 2000s. This false narrative was being utilized by college professors who shouldn't exist in the same way as Goering above, i.e., to suggest the supremely evil U.S. Government wouldn't dare throw Euro-American "Whiteys" into concentration camps. Yet we did, even though the low-information pontifical mob likes to lie about it. 'German-American' business properties were also targeted in many cities during WW1 for their own nights of broken glass as well, one of them being my great-grandfather's family businesses even though he was Magyar and even called up in a draft at that time. There were never any ethnic activist grievance-based or civil society do-gooder interest group campaigns to provide any restitution whatsoever for said people. Once upon a time German-Americans did have such groups, but they seemed to disappear during and after WW2 - oh yeah, it was because they got sent to OUR concentration camps.

Germany would've been nuked had it not surrendered before the Japanese. The Allies had a strict "Germany First" policy, and Roosevelt inquired about the bomb being fast tracked around the time of the Battle of the Bulge.

I guess Brian Cox is so great he almost makes it convincing but it's bullshit actually and it's appalling how many people in the comments actually buy that shit. Nothing Goering brings up in this scene, however wrong it was, compares to what the Nazis did. Not interment camps for the Japanese, not bombing Hiroshima, not racial segreation, not even fucking early 1800s slavery. None of those was even close to what Nazis did to the civillian population of both Jews, inside and outisde of Germany, and also to non-Jewish people under their occupation. This is bullshit symmetrism, and while the movie is obviously aware of that, people who watch that and believe it are just a bunch of disgusting idiots

Is.rael has been persecuting the Pale.stinians for 76 years. The resistance was only overblown in the media due to its retaliation (technically not terrorism under international law) and since Oct 7th, Isr.ael has been committing a genocide on an indigenous population. 40000+ confirmed dead and 200,000 considered dead by being buried under rubble or other war related situations, including disease. This will go down in history as one of the most hypocritical moments ever.

Plus, the Allies were firebombing German cities. Creating infernos that cooked hundreds of thousands of civilians alive near the end of the war. Complete devastation of civilian targets. And this is not even mentioning the purposeful starvation of 10 million Germans after the war.

One issue Goering got wrong about internment camps. Only Japanese in mainland America were interned. The ones in Hawaii (where Pearl Harbor is) were not because there were simply to many of them. Same with Italians & Germans. It wasn't because they were White. It was due to their large numbers it was simply not possible.

Ironically the US and the other Allied powers in WWII inadvertently contributed to the Holocaust by either not accepting German Jews, Jews from conquered territories to be immigrated to their countries out of the idea that some may be Nazi agents and spies that’ll attempt to spread the Nazi ideology or charged an outrageous amount to accept them. That even occurred before the US officially entered the war on the Allied side in late 1941. This further caused the Nazi German government, its agencies, and state to have the Wannasee Conference to take place that effectively and thoroughly organized the administrative and some of the industrial means of Germany to carry out the Holocaust due to the fact that they couldn’t deal with the number of inferior people overwhelming them.
