Hello Ron & thank you so much for sending this beautiful song from Waylon, it's another new one for me, he certainly sings it from the heart. Yesterday I listened to him telling his life story which he had recorded 5 years before he passed away, I ended up in tears, it was so sad towards the end, it lasted 3 hours, but what an amazing story. This is a good one, I love the lyrics. From what I've been reading, it seems Waylon had plenty of best friends. Another story:- When George Jones was about to loose everything because of his drugs & drinking, Waylon & Johnny Cash paid money into his bank account in monthly payments to cover everything, which is pretty amazing when Waylon had to work so hard to pay back all the money he owed to the bank. I bet things like that don't happen today, everyone is just out for themselves. Thanks Ron, the songs from this album are so good, appreciate you sending them. Just been reading a story about when Waylon gave up drugs, Willie cut his hair braids off & gave them to Waylon as a present to celebrate & they sold in an auction last year for 25,000 dollars.
