You know what... I spent enough time staring at the back of my JP toy packaging in the 90s to respect the hat. I get it. Subscribed.

Sir Jurassic James! Happy to see a new video and enjoying the stories behind the animals. As far as your figure of Bajadasaurus, it looks like CollectA's deluxe version, except the tail should not be curving upwards but off to the side and the paint application is different. I'd venture to say that, if it doesn't have a manufacturer mark , it could be a "china-saur". On a related note, if you are searching for a Dicraeosaurus model, I would suggest checking out the happy hen toys website, they sell a ton of dinos from many companies and they have a Dicraeosaurus.

What I noticed about large Ceratopsids that nobody really talks about is the seeming lack of sexual-dimorphism. Even in very well sampled genera like Triceratops, Centrosaurus & Styracosaurus we find no notable evidence of sexual-dimorphism in size or ornamentation that can't just be chalked up to ontogeny & or individual variation... And this is pretty unique to large Ceratopsids, as in other groups like Hadrosaurs (Maiasaura) & Pachycephalosaurs (Stegoceras) we fine clear evidence of more robust adult morphs with more injury damage... It makes me wonder if Ceratopsids had a colony bird-like breeding system, where both sexes were selecting for the ornamentation on the other. This is just a theory, but it's interesting to ponder.

Did I got it right: You can tell, there are really 2 different species of Pachyrhinosaurus, because of the different formations, they were found in?
@cro-magnoncarol40177 күн бұрын
There's 3 actually, P. canadensis from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation, P. lakustai from the Wapiti Formation & P. perotorum from the Prince Creek Formation.

First of all, I like your content - especially the way, you give more context for example by showing the contemporaries for each genus/species, you’re discussing. The audio is better now, but it depends on, how far away from the microphone you are. If you‘re too close (leaning forward) there‘s a kind of buzz and if you‘re too far away (leaning back), your voice seems too low.

Actually have this figure and crazy how Mattel Made their mapusaurus so small but when in real Life Mapusaurus what's bigger than giganotosaurus I think it's still a good figure also your next one should be majungasaurus major or Bajadasaurus

@JayJayKid-l3s4 ай бұрын
I don't know if this one is actually going to be in the show or not but I must say it does look really accurate to what the animal looked like there's also one in a human pack from chaos theory too with a compsonathus named Gordon.
@jurassicjames653 ай бұрын
Thank you. It is very show accurate, but a little wide compared to the real animal. But that is due to the toy's engineering-I get why

Yolo Jameso, the reconstructed T-Rex models fail to include cartilage in the joints and intervertebral discs between the vertebrae of the neck, spine, and tail. Inclusion of these would make T-Rex slightly longer and taller, but it is more realistic to include these in the reconstructed model.

Greetings BigffotOBrieno, Thanks for the note. The fact that some toy makers pay little to know attention to the scientific data. That is honestly why the channel exist.

I came to this channel to hear about the family tree of these animals. Please tell me more.
@jurassicjames653 ай бұрын
That is the problem, no one knows! The original remains were so few and discovered so long ago in the early stages of paleontology, that no one can say where it fits in the family tree. This depiction makes it look like a relative of Giganotosaurus, but we only have vertebrae.
