Garrincha's grave was robbed a few years ago, his remains taken. Maradona's heart was removed prior to burial, too. South America, man!

Italian serie A was the best championship in that time. Only a few very good player didn't play in Italy...i think to Hugo Sanchez, Schuster, Tigana for example...some english player maybe...but if you wanted to compete with the strongest, you had to play in Italy.

Going through my old videos made me search for this, brilliant that it's on here - the 10 year old me knew most of the commentary on this; loved Dezotti & always had a soft spot for Cremonese because of this!

Serie a sucks nowdays. Back then there was class even in the bottom tier teams like lecce ascoli cesena .now the players are all primadonna's and are too busy about their own image and their social media pages than their game. Thats why soccer today will never be anything like this era of the 90's

Thanks for uploading this video, I didn't have access to Italian football at this time and it is nice to see such great goals, many from stars that I knew later but also some from names I hadn't heard before. It's also great to see Van Basten at his peak (I only discovered Football Italia in the winter of 1992/93, shortly before he suffered his career ending injury) and players like Massaro at clubs that I never knew they had played for.

This first season was his only truly successful campaign with them, unfortunately for him. Luckily for him and Italy though that he did join in this season, because otherwise he surely wouldn't have been picked for the World Cup and had such a memorable tournament.Interesting for me to see Stefano Desideri, who I vaguely remember from a few years later (I think playing for Inter) as a fairly unspectacular midfielder, scoring a fair few goals and stylish ones too.
