What is the difference between the IM PRO + IR+RF Control and the RM + 433 MHz. Do I need an Android phone to set up, or may I use an iPhone? I am a quadriplegic and want to control a 2010 Sony Bravia TV and a 2011 Sony Blu ray system and some smart bulbs (in the USA). Thanks!
@ArylSky6 жыл бұрын
Hi, I am not sure what the difference is between those two. You can use an iPhone to set it up just like I did. You can easily control your TV and Blu-ray system with this as long as you have the original remote control to set it up the first time. I am not sure about the smart bulbs as it depends mostly about the manufacturer. I have recently changed my bulbs to Philips Hue and I use Apple's Homekit and ask Siri to control them. Hope I was of any help. Sincerely iGadgeting

If both air conditioners work with the same remote and are in the same room, I don't think you can control them separately.

hi...thanx for the video...it was really helpful...but I have a question...for instance, if i have two identical air conditioners at the same room and I added each remote separately....does each remote works separately too????
@igadgeting54317 жыл бұрын
Madiha El-nagar if the air conditioners work with the same remote and the RM Pro is in line of sight with each air conditioner it will control them at the same time.

Thank you for your quick response So I guess they will work separately if I added each remote in a different icon?
@igadgeting54317 жыл бұрын
Madiha El-nagar if the air conditioners are the same brand and model, work with the same remote and are in the same room they will work together. You can't control them separately. Not even if you set two different icons, they will still work together.

This RM Pro is amazing. I have had one for almost a year now, and I use it (all in one room) for my Air Conditioning, TV, Projector, Smart Blu Ray Player, Surround sound system, CD Stereo, and perhaps most importantly:10 different RF Outlets. These outlets are like 5 bucks each (you can get a set on amazon for cheap), and essentially you can turn your outlets into smart outlets for cheap! Broadlink is really missing out on the potential they have with this product. I have fumbled around with the app and while it works for me, it honestly sucks and would not survive in the mass market. Broadlink needs to step up and work to get this partnered with Homekit for Apple or Amazon Alexa, and clean up their app too. This thing would me MASSIVELY successful if they pull this off. This goes for around 35 on Amazon, and a 5 pack of RF outlets is 25. So for 60$ total you have a hub and 5 outlets, where a normal smart outlet is $25-30 a piece, without the hub. I have reached out to Broadlink Support but they seem to not be very proactive on this project which is a shame.
@thebatu898 жыл бұрын
Hi, so I'm pretty new to using broadlink. For the RF outlets that you mention, do you have to like pair them with the hub or something?
@idabbleintech42077 жыл бұрын
they won't work with the Rm Mini 3, you have to get to get the Rm Pro/2. Then in the app you click add remote, and click RCS. Then you stand next to your Rm 2 with the RF remote that came with your outlets and add them into the app, so the app 'learns' them so it can repeat them
@slamdolphin7 жыл бұрын
the Rm 2 is the "hub"

I liked your video; easy to understand and a good presentation. Just need some more information. I am looking to buy something to control my stereo system (IR Remote) in my basement while I am in my sunroom upstairs. Probably 40' away and through concrete walls. I also have an existing remote lighting and security system (RF Remotes.) Will this work, even though the actual device is in the basement, with the RF remotes? Is there a list of branded IR & RF devices this system will work with? Thank you
@igadgeting54318 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. To control IR devices the RM Pro needs to have a clear visibility of the device being controlled. Make sure Wifi is accessible from the basement so you can communicate with it from anywhere even from outside your home. Regarding RF devices my RM Pro can control them from several rooms away. I find its range much longer and stronger than the actual remote of my RF devices. It works with most of the RF devices I have such as home plugs but it didn't work with my Hormann Garage door.
