I have to compliment you on your mannequin! This one is the easiest I’ve seen ! I want to make one , with a few tweaks probably use a thicker bra to enhance the bust area ! This is my opinion, I’ve got a question will you be able to use pins on it , if you do I’m afraid they’ll get the stickiness from tape ?

Brilliant idea. I'm wondering how many rolls of tape I would need for myself as I'm approximately a semi large size. UK Size 18. I would like to give this a go as I enjoy upcycling clothing into new outfits for myself but don't always get my measurements correct. I am pretty much an amateur at clothes making but I wish to improve and having a mannequin/bust of myself would be a great help. Thanks for sharing your great video.

This was very cool. One suggestion if you do this again: Use a marker that will be visible on the tape and mark small horizontal lines on the back before having your friend cut the form off of you. That way you can line them up to make sure it's coming together properly. You may also want to leave the neck and/or arms open before you start stuffing so that it is easier to stuff in to the bust and upper part. Then you can seal it up. Alternatively, you could put stuffing or a pillow of some sort to try to help it maintain form instead of having it go flat before you close up the back. When you go to seal the back seam, instead of taping from the outside, run a line of tape on the inner side of one half and then line up marks (if you put any) to push it together so you don't end up making it wider or narrower with overlap or too much spread. You can try this with a more forgiving tape that will let you adjust and then tape over the outside. I've seen people add fabric over the top of forms like this so it will be pinnable.
