LS rear main seals and harmonic balancer seals must be installed dry. Not their outsides, but their insides where they contact the crankshaft. The reason is that they are infused with Teflon and upon startup, on a molecular level, Teflon is transferred from the seal to the crankshaft and it creates an oil-repelling barrier. Any oil on the seal or crankshaft will defeat this transaction before it can even occur.

My 2001 Suburban never had an issue with the fuel vapor system but appears easier to repair than newer models. After 187000 miles my 01's paint looked like new and still ran great. My mistake was trading for a 2014. Now with only 51000 miles the clear coat's shot, dash is all cracked, a rust hole in the cargo rack mount and it won't take fuel. It's the last Suburban I'll ever buy.

Hello friend, happy new year... a question. I repaired a 4L65E transmission. But I left the same converter, the fault it causes is that the 4th gear slips. He applies it and releases it, the engine rpm goes up and down... I changed the converter for a used one thinking it was the problem and the same fault continues... what could it be, is it the converter? Both converters are used. It's just The 4th gear that fails, the others are fine, I tried Manual too and it does 123 well and when I switch it to Drive the 4th gear slides...according to your extensive experience, who can be a friend?

After watching the 4l60e transmission series i think I'm going to pull my 4L60E from a 94 GMC Jimmy, disassemble, being careful to document every step with photos, order the rebuild kit, new sunshell and torque converter and rebuild it myself and reinstall. I was quoted $2700 to do it and i told them "hell id have a $3000 truck if i did that"😂 I do a lot of small engine mechanic work on lawn equipment so i do have a grasp on it. Your videos will be on my phone through the whole process, thanks for the great instructional videos
