I just mod the 919 evo RSS mod from assetto corsa, jumped in and made a lap at spa only .8 behind my best time with a Ferrari F2004. I thought it was too absurd and it had to be so unrealistic for a professional paid mod. But this video show almost absolulety the same result.

The only F1 cars that defeated the 919 in Spa were this W11 and W09 of Lewis and the two 2018 Ferrari SF71H of Seb Vettel (1:41:501) and Kimi Raikkonen (1:41:533)

@@Vestertek yeah but this is the laptime everyone compares the "speed" of f1 to. even the new cars are compared to it. its not a fair comparison since track limits were fuck all back then

@@phonsely It's the only corner where the track limit is different (it still has a limit), even without it the F1 car is still faster. You can also see side by side comparison of W11 with the 919 evo and other F1 cars, see also Formula Addict's channel, it's a good channel to visualize the strengths of each car.

@@phonsely It wasn't a fair comparison to begin with. The driver of the Porsche didn’t know the car well enough at Spa, unlike Hamilton, who knows his car on that track. You can watch the Nordschleife lap record, where you actually see a more confident driver (just look at the steering angle and the speeds he's pulling at the Nordschleife). Even the team said that it wasn’t the Porsche’s best time, saying that the CAR could do a sub-5-minute lap.

That is pretty damn close, especially since is a road course favouring F1. I wonder if there is some other venue, other than an oval, that would give the advantage to the LMP1? Either way, that is pretty close. I mean we are talking about the Mercedes W11 with Sir Lewis Hamilton.

wanna know whats the better race car? see if the 919 makes it around Monaco, with about ten other cars and they have to try keep the same level of pace as they did here lool. its easy to get simple courses and ramp the highest speeds to the max

The 919 was flying down the straights but the W11 was able to gain all that lost time back and even put time on the 919 just through the corners. W11 was just amazing.

The cornering is where the f1 car excels and the straights is where the LMP car excels, that is the closest thing you will get to a f1 car on track

The 919 EVO has so much speed down the straights. Some reports say 349 kph, others said 359. Either way, it pulled several car lengths on the Mercedes from Eau Rouge. After that, the cornering speed of the F1 car is just another league.

@@BardhanProductions it can be considered both german and British since the team was originally founded in Germany but they moved their headquarters to UK. they race under a germen license as well so it is technically german but its HQ is in great britain
