Middlesex was once a great club, removing players like Rocky, Bamber and Andersson proves that the management does not know what a good team looks like, Middlesex can now announce that they are about to enter the end times. If you do not believe me look a Richard Johnson's face when he is being interviewed, crest fallen is the term

Unfortunately the hour of madness last week has cost us ,also resting Bamber for two games another poor decision, I'm afraid with all these players leaving and not being replaced we going to be a division 2 side for some time ,we'll done the management and coaching staff for the sad demise of this once great club

we dont know the finances though .....Bamber leaving is a blow .....Andersson is 27 ....is his bowling up to it ? ...like his batting though ....but he isnt getting into red ball team......and Stoneman is 38 next summer ....his batting average is 35 ish ....maybe one or 2 seasons left in him...losing him is not ideal but hardly a disaster either

Unbelievable, Well done Coleman , the useless failed cricketer "head of mccc" strikes again by releasing a well respected quality class cricketer with depths of Experience,.. . Stoneman seems a proper cricketers cricketer, no nonesense approach and has always spoken truths in these interviews. Clueless Coleman should of made Stoneman Captian next season, not this utter insult.

its disappointing to see Stoneman go ,,,,but if finances are indeed an issue ....he is no doubt on the largest salary signed from Surrey ....he is 38 next season ......only averaged 35 thus season ....he has one or 2 seasons left ........Bamber leaving is a far bigger problem

@paulmorris9605 I felt stoneman got a better tune out of the players when he took charge in the 50 over cup.. I like his more brutal assessment of team performances when interviewed and seems to have a deep knowledge of the game. Definitely captain material.

@@pooonni We still have an outside chance of promotion, hence the 2 matches to save the season comment. However, the comment is not harsh. A terrible white ball season (again) and so the only potential redemption is promotion. Let’s hope we get there.

I don't think you would expect them to win most games but did they make progress when they play? I think they have but would love to know what you think.

Johnson as coach should take the bulk of the blame ,should have told the players when we were six down to reign it in , but he does nothing, should go at the end of the season

In most team sports the Manager takes full responsibility. Not this guy, the list of excuses gets longer, collective brain-fade being the latest. Glos had only won one other game this season, it’s humiliating to watch this level of capitulation.

Alan Coleman needs to be removed, he's a failed cricketer in charge of a first class set up !!! Johnson at least was a highly respected 1st class player with a 10 wicket haul to his name ... Coleman ,its time to go.

@@pooonniGood and bad are subjective words. This season we have played 34 matches in all forms and won 10. In this match, from a position where defeat was the least likely outcome, we lose 7 wickets in 10.1 overs. Do “good” teams produce these types of results?

Batted like a pub team in that last hour ,can't see us winning now ,needed 300 plus ,only hope is Toby, the rest especially helm who has never been the player they thought he was going to be ,and hollman couldn't spin a coin ,but to be honest it's the miss management of the club that's cost us ,Simpson gone Bamber going, no overseas player, only a handful of this team are good enough for division one
