omg. my online boyfriend ( whom I hadn't yet met) sent me the same, claiming that it was his video. And then sent me a photo of him in front of the chopper., but it was photoshopped..I found the exact same image on the internet, only the face had changed! Be careful, ladies. He is dangerous and relentless.

Yes....the platform radio operator must give permission and delare the helideck is free.

Not if a helicopter in the vicinity has an emergency wherein parallel would occur otherwise. But the oil companies staff would have to get you going again, undoubtedly. VERY VERY VERY Expensive, lol

Now this is great! My online boyfriend (who I hadn't met yet) sent me this video saying this was HIS ride to an oil rig in the North Sea on June 26, 2019. Now how could THAT be? Needless to say, it's very doubtful a meeting will occur. LOLOLOL

Almost never, all pilots must be commercial & current & typically adhere to very stringent Go/No-go manifest!

At 1950 on 14th March 1992 a Bristows Supa Puma with 15 passengers and two crew members on board took off from the Cormorant Alpha platform and almost immediately crashed into the sea. Only five passengers and one crew member survived the incident which was the subject of an investigation by the Air Accident Investigation Branch of the Department of Transport, and whose report was submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport in April of this year. The chopper was attempting to lift off from the above mentioned rig
