Thank you for putting this together - a fascinating window into the band’s history, which lets us remember the SPG of yesteryear and appreciate all the work they’re still doing to this day. I wonder if anyone in that crowd could’ve guessed SPG would still be making music over a decade later? 2012 SPG was still close to their street performer roots; the emphasis was on live performance, crisp robotic movement, incredible stage presence. A decade on, it’s SPG’s studio albums that are the standout; ‘1896’ has some of the best music they’ve ever made, and the new Steamworld Heist II album has over a dozen songs and not a single miss. And even now, in 2024, SPG continues to evolve - they recently officially introduced two new backing musicians, drummer Davey and one-woman-band Lacey - and they’ve got a 7th big album in the works. I, for one, will be fondly remembering the past all while looking forward eagerly to the future - things are different, but that’s how it’s always been, constantly evolving.

@@thatcallisto my feelings exactly. Like every band they’ve had miss steps and make choices I personally don’t agree with but I support them still because change is part of why we still watch and listen to these bands. @@graldrouse4194 luckily we can go back to those days via recordings, records and the videos. Every artist eventually makes a big change that a section of their fans won’t like.
