I love this song so much but I wish Jim had finished "don't" at the same time in each overdub. It goes "donnnn'T-T" every time and once you hear it you can't unhear it

@@sonarblumIt's hard to choose since they kind of evoke different moods for me. This one definitely has a more sentimental tone to it which matches its lyrics better, but Always Be is pretty catchy!

@@juicelychee8692 this song is relatively new to me so I might be biased, but I do like the mood it gives more than Always Be. Also I like how you can hear Jim enunciate the t in “don’t” twice in a row. Quaint little detail.

@@sonarblum lot of respect for bands who don't cut the harmonies exactly to the millisecond, it sounds way more authentic when you hear the 't' imperfectly overdubbed and as you say adds a little layer to the song.

I wonder if that’s just how it was meant to sound when it was recorded…. or, because it was an exclusive track and at the time there were all these ways specific albums were being released to keep them from being converted to mp3 and be transferred online for free streaming.. could it be its just how the exported version sounds like because of it.. 🤔 only those who have the actual hard copy of the cd would know for sure because this is the only version I know of since 2006/7

"I've never felt more temporary" really hit me a few years ago, tbh listening it to now I still kinda feel it. The line before it "so look on forever now" the two lines really contrast each other, like you want them to know how you're feeling but you're already gone to them. It is a indeed "a tough pill to swallow down"

I saw these guys in concert at the Orpheum theatre in Vancouver, BC in the mid 90's...it was the best live show I have ever seen. For so many years, I kind of forgot about them until recently and I am only now just rediscovering just how much I fucking LOVE this band.

Their audio engineer screwed them over, I swear. No equipment I can think of could have captured their sound properly. It's not just distortion; everything is clipping, and the bass is all washed out. These guys are talented; they just didn't get a fair shake, I don't think. Fucked up & sad.

I was listening to a Big Shiny Tunes playlist on Spotify and I knew there was a song missing and I went on a bit of a hunt and finally found this! This is a pretty good tune! Definitely have a bit of nostalgia for this gem
