My first Harley was a 2002 FXD. When I saw the Gunmetal Gray in at the 100th Anniversary Road Show, I fell in love with it. Every once in a while I see one and start to drool.

Floorboards have been sold. Still have the struts but they aren’t in great shape.

I have the gauge relocation kit as well, any advice before i do the install? Any plans to do a different ignition switch?

@@cartersservices3134 only advice I have is to take your time doing the cut out it can be tedious. It takes a little bit to get it sitting right but it’s worth it. I haven’t seen any good options for the ignition, it doesn’t look horrible to me so I’ll probably just keep it the way it is.

Beautiful 88 FXR. Mines 87 and not so immaculate, but is complete and well loved and ridden. Mines an FXRS SP. And is as smooth as silk, flickable as a sporty and nearly as comfy as my 88 bagger.

@@musicm8kr they are not CCW’s they are XXR wheels. The paint is factory and yes a friend and myself did the motor. His dad painted under the hood.

Love it my buddy had one and lost it in a divorce and she gave it to her new boyfriend and he drives it by his house to rub it in . The guy is lucky my buddy can count to 10 and let it go because he has a good job and everything to lose so he hasn't stomped him out, I font know if I could do it.
