Them were the days. The few of us turning up to watch Linton chase on to long ball after long ball. Go on Linton!

4 for Pancho--he was great at United too, --good to see proper attacking football,-getting the ball into the box-, not fannying about with it at the back and getting to edge of the area then going backwards and finishing up at your own keeper.

Number 11 my Uncle. Ian Butler. I was dragged around to every game as a kid with my family in the back of my dads van to watch. I’d love to re-live it now. Football just isn’t the same.

It's all about the memories! Thanks for your comment, I hope your uncle is keeping well. He was spoken about in hushed tones by my Grandad which was the sign of a decent player! You might be interested in my latest upload - thanks again!

Now that the progress of time has revealed that this was not as wonderful as the owner was making out. So is the story of all clubs outside the greedy league although Hull's time there was successful with an FA Cup final to boast about, it still ended in relegation and back to League One.

I really liked Pancho even though he played for the awful Salfords. His partner Jimmy Greenoff was another in the same boat.
