Oh, by the way, I have a redheaded wood pecker now too! Never saw him before. Must be the wood on the feeder that attracted him!
@arlenecordio25865 жыл бұрын
Just a heads up. The feeders I made using your method are more popular to the birds I have. They will not go to the store bought ones unless my homemade ones are empty! Going strong. Thank you. I can make larger suet cakes for them so I don't have to fill them so often. Love you guys.
@arlenecordio25865 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I made some bird suet out of gelatin and seed and they love it. Thank you soooo much!

those fishers are scary animals. did you know they were brought over from Europe to help with the Porcupine population here in the US. they did get it under control and then they started to eat other animals . They are the only animal that will mess with a porcupine

I must say that I was not as lucky as you are. The truth that as young I didn't have such the chance even when I started hiking with friends from my faculty. Hikers would always say: Oh, I have never seen a bear. It was really rare that brown bears were seen. Then after many, many years I entered into those "wolf years" I might say ... more than 25 years dealing with that pack ... after releasing them in 1992 6 years later Lik passed (in the age of 18) I suddenly realized that I was alone again. I didn't follow any of the wolves in fact I even tried to avoid their areas no to meet them at all ... I wanted them to become as wild as possible not trusting any human nor even to me. But it happened that bears started to appear in front of me .. (last time in 3 days and nights in July ... eight of them). Some would say that's some kind of magic but I realized that my experiences with wolves and lessons they have given me showed me how to behave in the wild and read the nature in the mountains ... footprints, sound, direction of the wind and smell it brings .... I succeeded to film much more brown bears recently than any other wild creatures. You will have the chance to see some as soon as I finish editing. I wanted to say that I needed many years of climbing, hiking, sleeping under the stars, storms, blizzards to encounter my first bear. My "like" is sixth as I see and I can't give you any more although I would give you ten at least. Well done video. You must be proud of that. Paul
@FatherAndSonFun7 жыл бұрын
Although we don't have any brown bears where we live, we do live in an area rich in black bears. We look forward to watching your video on brown bears! Thank you Pavle for your very kind words, we hope to film more black bears in the near future and share them on our channel. Thanks for watching!

I think we may do this out on the homestead as a winter project
@FatherAndSonFun7 жыл бұрын
We got this idea from one of our favorite youtubers. We build a bunch every winter and put them up around our camp. If you watch our "Winter Has Begun" video, you can see we have some on the posts on our garden fence. The tree swallows nest in all of them, and they eat lots of bugs, so it's a win/win. Thanks for watching!
