Should I add keywords to every single blog post of my website in this way? Take a look at what ChatGPT says: Google announced in 2009 that it no longer uses the <meta name="keywords"> tag as a ranking factor. So, this tag has no direct impact on SEO. However: Platforms like Wix may still use this tag in their internal SEO algorithms or site search engines. Search engines like Bing may still give slight importance to the keywords tag. Wix’s SEO expert may be referring to a benefit within the platform, but this does not mean it affects Google rankings. So, it has no effect on Google, but it may have a slight impact within Wix’s internal optimization system or other search engines. If Wix recommends using it, there’s no harm, but the most important factors remain page content, headings, and meta descriptions.

You can build out your Wix SEO Title, Description, Meta tags and even structure data markup without having a Wix Premium website and without being live. Doing the SEO work before going live is always a good idea :)

Hey the best way to show products on your wix website is to click the little + icon on the left within your wix editor. Scroll down to store and you'll notice some options to add product widgets, single product widgets, sliders and grids. You can't add these big widgets directly into the menu however if you click on your menu, click add menu item (you can click to a product (select category or product) Hope this helps feel free to reach out :)

Can you overwrite the hover with on click somehow? Hover is chaotic. I prefer on click in Wix Studio.

Really saved my ass here my dude. Much thanks! I am a lot more comfortable with Webflow cause of the freedom to do whatever I want but this client wanted it on wix. Not a big fan of the number of restrictions. Either that or I need to learn the tool better. Nevertheless, your tutorial was no bullshit and very well composed.

Hi there- yes I always recommend that you create specific pages focused on 1 or 2 keywords and add basic and advanced seo to those pages. Its hard to always try and rank the homepage for so many keywords. So yes you should 😇📚 Thanks for watching this wix seo tutorial 👏

When I tested the markup, it said no items detected. I double checked that I did it exactly how you did it. Do think this is because I have not submitted my website to google search console yet? It is a brand new website and only went live a couple days ago. I wanted to optimize SEO before I submitted it. Thanks for such amazing content.

I have seen the same issue with both Alin's markup and some more complex markup I put together.. Also, I find that when I am in the editor and working on individual pages, I I cannot cut and paste into any of the SEO templates (structured markup or keywords). Cut and paste only seems to work in the main page view on the dashboard. Seems like a bug. Does Wix have a place to report this?

Hey Adany - Okay so your using the Wix Classic Editor. This Wix Editor only let's you build the desktop, laptop and Mobile Website. Your Editor will show your desktop version for the iPads (tablets). This has nothing to do with what plan you have. This isn't a big issue. Hope this helps!

I'm glad you found this Wix mega menu design tutorial helpful :) At the moment you cannot create a Wix Mega menu within the classic editor - I recommend you check out Wix Studio and work with a designer to really help you build an outstanding end product - For now good luck with your desktop and laptop wix mega menu :)

A few things have changed within the Wix.com Editor and SEO Settings. I'd recommend you focus on building great content, great links to and from pages and you should be fine. Not passing isn't a big issue at the moment.

At least twice you emphasize the importance of exiting the editor. What is the significance of this? Does it matter if the editor is open in a separate tab?

Hey when working with the editor make sure your other tab is your wix dashboard. My findings in building for so many years is that there seems to be a connection lost when you close your wix dashboard tab and just have the editor tab. So always stay logged in your wix.com dashboard screen

Hi. Fantastic tutorial. The best I've seen. Question regarding "Local Business Markup" At time stamp 15:23 adding local business markup you select the business address. I am developing a website for a Chamber of Commerce. They do not have an actual office or physical address. What should be done in this case?

Your local business markup isn't needed. Remember that markups are specific to your needs - store, blog, person, loca business etc - there're many different types of markups - no issues if you don't got it 😇

Hi Alin, Great job as usual. I have two services on my website. Wedding DJ and Wedding Videography. I have only relevant keywords add to those specific pages. Other than saving time is there any advantage to having all keywords lumped together posted on all the pages? Or, should I leave as is? Thanks James.

@@AlinBahoWixPartner it was the same for me. I found the difference was Wix (classic or editor x) vs. Wix Studio. They're slightly different platforms with slightly different dashboards & backends. Wix Studio seems like it gives a lot more control and has a few more advanced features. All the SEO stuff looked to be the same as far as I could tell.

Hmm that sounds odd, are you sure to tested your Featured markup and not the site name? If you test under your advanced seo a label called "site name" it will say not detected.

If there is a gap you have something within your footer ... I recommend moving everything out of your footer and re adding the elements - something is pushing past the bottom

@@OneMeditations-g5q That's right the "Site Name" will show No items detected - However if your markup shows that i'd recommend that you delete it and re-create another. Let me know.
