I worked on the grapes last night (as well as Purple Pansy Angel) at the Salem Area Stitchers in-person meet up. It is getting really close. I want to start putting away the flosses that are done (floss drops drive me crazy; they feel messy. Sub-clinical OCD?).

Going to think about organizing the pdf stash parade. Probably do it by designer in shorter video segments (got a lot of files). Having a dentist appointment in the middle of my cooking day is a challenge. I woke up too early and couldn't sleep trying to think of all the permutations. Going to try to drop off the Anime bib today around my dental appointment. Got the beef bacon and blueberries out of the freezer. Made up and packed my Advent gift exchange bags last night. Had to put them in a sealed bin so the kitties would not open them and snag all the floss! Willow wants to open presents early. I think she recognizes the Chewy logo.

A Jingle Ball viewing party!? That sounds like so much fun! I look forward to hearing about that. I'm also making more of an effort to stitch my stash. I don't have a lot of outstanding patterns, maybe 20, but I want to make sure that I work on them before time slips away. I didn't know Treasure Braid bought Krienik. Do you know of the numbers are going to change? At the moment, I only have 1 pattern that calls for Krenik. Maybe I should buy the called for before the change over to the new style.
@genstitchrАй бұрын
The Jingle Ball site has a list of LNS events. Kreinik has been getting hard to find and even 123Stitch is out of some types periodically. I have used Treasure Braid instead of Kreinik and it is fine for colors and easier to use/stitch (better texture). So it is up to you as to what you like.

Yeah, printing the logo from online would probably easier. Thank you for bring it to front of mind! I do want to do the floss matching to the cups and store posters. The beach retreat is in April and there are still a few more places as of yesterday. There will be no designers or exclusives, just stitching with friends. April on the coast may be cold, rainy. The bonfire will depend on tides and weather. I'm not the only one bringing the spouse. Several of the Salem Area Stitchers are going to 2025 Stitch North which is the same weekend (I will go another year). You think I get a lot done? Well, I work full time, but I don't have kids, and I have a landscaper. This year I have been able to access four different social stitching groups per month and I try to set deadlines to get gifts done. They are small things. I was really taken aback at how many starts I had this year. I was not stitching so much in previous years. The largest gift I am working on I started in 2022 or 2023 and it is 12 " x 16". It will take at least another year or two. I really want to finish an old WIP (started in 2003) in 2024 or early 2025 after baby gifts are done.

Only social media I'm on is KZbin and Linked In. Although the Linked In hasn't been updated since 2012. The Bristol 101 class is unfortunately only in person. Acorns and Threads does Zoom for their two annual retreats. I got your address and found the snowman ornament kits! So the haul is complete. Maybe I can get my spouse to take them to the post office tomorrow. Also there is a small in person cross stitch summer retreat held right up the road from the North American Bigfoot Center! I heard about it yesterday in one of my Zoom stitching groups. It is very informal and very small, just stitching and good company with lodging and food at a Methodist retreat center. It is out of my price range this year, but maybe I will get to go another time. Finally, about the nametag: Acorns and Threads makes you one for your first retreat with them and gives you starting bling and a year bling at all retreats you attend. They encourage you to embellish your tag, keeping a sharp needle handy to add stuff.

Robin, the HOD Jack-o-lantern is a chalk drawing that Priscilla Bain did and Cathy Haberman (HOD) designed the cross stitch pattern based on the chalk drawing. Priscilla is the designer of “stitching with the housewives”, a floss tube channel and they (Priscilla and daughter Chelsea) also have an Etsy shop.

I tell Max that he is an internet sensation and he doesn't even know it (he is headbutting me, purring, and trying to walk on the keyboard while I am typing. Thank you so much. One of my past gripes with the older patterns around when I started was that they had lots of washed out pastels or colors that were not true to life. I like to insert some authenticity if I am modifying colors for a real plant or animal. The newer designers have much wider palettes and with all the newer hand-dyed fabrics and flosses, there are now a lot of creative choices. I was drooling over the Be Stitch Me website yesterday, but I need to use the fabrics I got before I can get more.

My mom made me that table cloth 20 years ago, but it hangs down a lot on my table. Max thought it was fun to attack my hidden legs, hence the reshot parts. He is such a sweetie, I know he was sorry that he made me yelp. The whale ffo on 14 ct was 11 inches by 15.25 inches (cut piece recommended 17 by 22), but the matting and framing added to size. My friend moved last year and broke the glass, so I got it replaced for her. It took up at least a third of my back seat so it seemed big to me. Got some of that Medusa's gaze fabric at our LNS yesterday! The crowd had left, so I was only stitching for an hour with one other stitcher. So relaxing and fun. Hopefully I will get some more work in on Purple Pansy Angel today.

Sorry for the lengthy delay, but I had had to talk to some people about crochet. I watched a new Flosstuber and reached out. The Crow River Stitcher (@TheCrow RiverStitcher) is a cross stitch newbie, but a crochet expert. She recommended trying Ravelry.com. It is a website for knitting and crochet. She thought that some of my grandma's work was based on star patterns and that it might be a good bet that some of those patterns could be found on Ravelry. You might also try an image search, but I have more mixed bags finding things that way. If your local library has a maker space like my husband's workplace, you might get some librarian help, or at least they might be able to refer you to local fiber arts community members for help. Let me know how it works out. I would love to try my hand at the pansy border, but probably won't have time until retirement, 9.5 years away.
