imo the significance of the slams matter more to an extent, murray had to contend with the big 3 in their primes, so his slams definitely hold more value imo, carlos has big 3 level talent in a weak era as well as a 36-37 year old injured djoko, so murray finishing his career with what he had is definitely nothing to scoff at or feel bad for him

Zverev has been playing at a high level since 2015, sinner is playing since 2019, alcaraz is playing since 2021. zverev wasnt always losing to novaks and rafas in grand slams. he just became consistent in reaching semis and finals of grand slams lately and losing to different players in each grand slam. So he is not the best player to not win the grand slams. It's not like he was always stopped by the great players like novak, rafa , alcaraz or sinner which is the case for medvedev in the semis and finals of grand slams

He won 7 Masters 1000 tournaments, 2 ATP finals, Olympic gold medal and 23 tournaments in total. On top of that, he reached 3 grand slam finals. Can you name one player without slam victory who can better that? I can't..

@@Rachid902 well, let's name the tournaments in which he played like a player who is "the greatest to never win a slam" 1. 2007 Madrid 2. 2007 Paris 3. 2005 Master Cup (he did get lucky with Federer's injury, but I'll be generous) 4. ... 2003 US Open 5. ... I don't even know if there are 5 tournaments

no,it is because he has that more tools. It's just a guess, but with what i see,80% of the points are decided on forehand, backhand, serve, return and movement.Sinner is elite in every single one of them.Alcaraz is elite in fh,movement, worldclass serve, backhand and a nearly elite backhand.Sinner has an edge in these. But the rest 20%-smashes,slice,volleys,dropshots,speed,like anything with variety, alcaraz has a huge advantage, not even close. If you just try to beat sinner from baseline, you are in for a long day, like zverev in the ao final. But if you have the tools to throw him off, like alcaraz does, you always have a chance.Let's face it,sinner is not exactly reliable at the net,nor are his dropshots great.Alcaraz is capable of exploiting that weakness. Also, the fact that alcaraz beat him in 2 close 5 setters at grand slams gives him the mental edge over sinner whenever they face each other.

1977 was the final year that the US Open was played in Forest Hills, Queens. Surface at that time was Clay. The ‘78 Open was played at its current site of the Natl Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, NY on Hardcourts. Jimmy Connors won that Open. He’s the only player in history to have won the US Open on all of its surfaces (grass, clay & hardcourt).

If I were in the ATP shoes, I would ditch Advantage points. Our sport has already a lot of illogical things, like our point system (15, 30, 40). It would help a larger audience to understand and appreciate our sport better. Also, it brings an interesting dynamic to the game. I would try it in 250 tournaments first. If it succeeded, I would extend it to larger championships.
