Good vid. I was going to try something similar.. GLUE the old valve to the tear aid first using stormsure or aquaseal. (I prefer stormsure as its less tacky after drying)... Then you essentially have a homemade replacement valve. My only question is whether tear aid will bond well with stormsure. I suspect it will.
@TheStevemccormack3 жыл бұрын
I think you are best to put the stick on replacement valve on the bladder first, run a bead of stormsure around the edges then place a Tear Aid patch over the whole lot.

I want to use this method but valves on top side have little ribs so the surface is not perfectly flat. Is Tear Aid going to seal it?
@TheStevemccormack4 жыл бұрын
Can you remove that part of the old valve? (heating with boiling water and then peel off the old valve completely). If not apply Storm Sure glue around the ribs and then apply the tear air over the top while the stormsure is still wet.
@henasau4 жыл бұрын
Valves are removed and cleaned. Good to hear; Tear Aid can be applied over wet Stormsure. I might just do it. I don't use Stormsure any more. I found, it doesn't stick very well with this particular Slingshot bladder. I intend to try Aquaseal+FD. I hope your comment is still valid.
@ozonekitesaustralia51984 жыл бұрын
henasau aqua seal is good and will still work under the tearaid. Leave a border of dry bladder around the aqua seal. I would only apply the aqua seal to the ribbed area and just past the circumference raised bit.

Hi, the Ozone Frenzy is discontinued and was replaced by the Sub Zero, but it never came in a 7.3M size? You can view the snow kites we have available in Australia, here www.kitepower.com.au/collections/landkiting/Snow-Kites and here ozonekites.com.au/product-category/land-kiting/

Its Type A, you can call our store on 02 95296894 to purchase some. It is also widely available in camping stores like BCF.
this is the best tutorial I've seen. I'm still really struggling to find how I can use a bar with my harness, though. I want to use it without fatigue by holding it. any suggestions, maybe links please? I'll check more of your videos but I've looked loads. thanks :)

Hi there. You can attach a loop to the bar, we have a couple left from Ozone with quick release. Where are you located? Send us a contact form here - www.kitepower.com.au/pages/contact-us and we should be able to help you out.

Sorry I have not been monitoring comments. You do not need to use the trainer kite with a harness, that comes later when you start to use a full size kitesurfing kite.

Hi Raedy, in this case we cut the centre of the old valve out, as the base of the new stick on valve went beyond the old valve. I do agree with you though, we will make a new version of this video with more detail. Thank you for the feedback! KP Sydney

@KitepowerAustralia8 жыл бұрын
+lyn perk We have sold thousands of Octanes and never had a single person complain about the fixed harness line moving up or down their bar it's a larks head knot which gets tighter, the more you pull on it. They no longer make them though so you can be assured this will no longer be an issue.
@lynperk8 жыл бұрын
+Kitepower Australia i requested anybody to feild test hooked in to the chicken loop and not hook in, to see if the brake lines stay in the center of the bar that's the point.No one ever picks up the challenge to prove me wrong they just stop committing .so are you going to prove me wrong ?
@KitepowerAustralia8 жыл бұрын
+lyn perk The brake lines are not under tension when attached to a fixed bridle bar, your test is irrelevant. They just stay slack, you could actually remove the brake lines from the kite and it would still fly, would just be a bit more difficult to land :)
@lynperk8 жыл бұрын
+Kitepower Australia remove the brake lines yea that sounds like great ideal, do you work for ozone in the design department LOL
@KitepowerAustralia8 жыл бұрын
+lyn perk Completely missed the point. You do realise that companies like peter lynn used to make massive 5m and 6m two line power kites 15-20 years ago? We used to buggy with them all the time, they were very powerful and i'm glad brakes were brought into foil design as it made them far easier and safer to land. However when used with a control bar, the brake lines of a fixed bridle foil are completely inactive until you need to release to safety or land the kite.

ozone doesn't send a ground stake, cutting corners again .

remember this is probably the first kite a person might buy getting into the sport.give what the need right out of the bag..
@KitepowerAustralia8 жыл бұрын
+lyn perk with the safety activated, you can wind the kite in very easily without the need for a ground stake. However a screwdriver would suffice. We should also make a video showing this, however because we were on the beach in this instance, it was left out. These are only made up to 3m and not designed as a power kite, far less powerful than the equivalent sized octane.

@BushCampingTools8 жыл бұрын
+rob roberts What's confusing about it? I've got one of their kites and it's no trouble to use even in a gale LOL. The vid as a demo vid is well produced IMHO.However, I've never wound the lines around the handles as I thing this has a tendency to twist the lines after a period of time (line dependent though)
@sandy_knight3 жыл бұрын
@@BushCampingTools I usually place the winder between the handles and wind the lines around it in a figure of 8. Having said that, most Ozone kite lines (such as the ones on my old Samurai II) have a stiff enough shielding that I haven't had any problems with twisting if I don't figure-8 them.
@sandy_knight3 жыл бұрын
Also, after I've wound up the lines I hold the handles above the kite so the bridle is on-top of the canopy, lower the handles and place them right next to the middle of the trailing edge. Next fold (or roll) both wing tips into the centre leaving a strip about 8-12 inches wide, this ensures that the handles don't get tangled in the bridle. I then place the handles 'on' the trailing edge and roll them towards the leading edge, that way you can get all the air out which is important if you have a big kite and a small bag..

What Is Islam? Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him

Can you do a video showing how to adjust the 3rd "brake line"? I purchased a kite with the bar. It did not come with lines. I've had to make the lines myself, and was wondering if it was possible and best to adjust the line in flight? It's a no-brainer the outer two lines are the same length, what about the brake line

Thank you so much for this video! I'm also a beginner doing research on what kite to get. The wind window explanation was great, thank you! I was just wondering, with the O-zone 3-line, can you replace the bar with wrist bands and maybe attach the 3rd to a harness? Or can you only use the bar? Thanx :)

@KitepowerAustralia10 жыл бұрын
Hi Mahmoud, It's definitely best to learn on a trainer kite as they can handle crashes a lot better and are far cheaper and simpler to use. Then when you get lessons you can jump straight onto the bigger kiteboarding kites (8m - 12m most common sizes) and then make you decision on what to get after a few lessons when you have a better idea and some helpful advice from your instructor. Cheers.

nt smith for kitesurfing you need a water re-launchable kite and unfortunately only small sized inflatables are suitable for land use. However, you might take some interest in the brand new Ozone Chrono that is suitable for both water and land use.

@KitepowerAustralia11 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, For securing the kite in a park you can use a ground stake to put int the ground and wrap the safety leash around while you walk up to the kite. Just remember to take it back out of the ground! We sell the ozone ground stake on our website. or You can take a couple of small sand bags to put on the kite while you set it up. Hope that helps!
