I did everthing else correctly but I'm having a hard time with the cable roller part. @2:53 it keeps being slack on one cable and it comes off track after putting on the motor.

You didn't show how to replace the broken upper plastic pulley wheel? That is what breaks on these and kit comes with one. Do you have to drill out the original completely out?

You didn't show how to remove the top plastic pulley, does original need to be drilled out completely or is there a trick?

Do you have a solution for the rotating plastic wheel on the end of the regulator? On mine that what it is damaged and need replacing but on kits i didnt see a replacement…

odd that the long side routes outside the guard - apparently works tho i use a 3" c-clamp to put on the tension w the plunger side on the tip of the frame and the c on the drive pulley since the kit i had expected a slightly smaller pulley

I have a 2010 4.7, working on the rear right window. My gear is black, not green and is slightly smaller than the white housing. The 'teeth" and hole are slightly off center and the green gear can't fit. I can't understand it. Any ideas?

As we say on Amazon you not going to find any OEM kit, the kits are made for work with that regulators, we sale for some years, we reuild regulators for 10 years and since we make the kit some years ago we not have any issue, even when roller it's little small compare to OEM it's still works fine with no issues

Great video, by the time you have replaced a few of them clip's (they break real easy) over time, you will not take out the window regulator but use zip ties thrugh the hole at the bottom of the window that the clip go's into and fasten the window to the broken white plastic runner that the clip broke off of.

I was watching for the window clip piece removal and replacement, but I was very glad for the cable part as well. All the other videos only explained how to replace the whole mechanism, which is way easier than taking apart the actual mechanism, but thank you so much. Now I see why they just replace the whole thing instead of just one piece 😅

In the case of my 01 996 C2 Cab passenger side quarter window... The long cable goes on the bottom of the roller and the short goes on top of the roller. Initially I followed the suggestion from this video, but the up and down functionality of the window ended up inverted to that of the driver rear window. Since the switch that connects to the motor can only be inserted in one position, that drove me to remove everything again and then installed the longer cable on the bottom of the roller and that did the trick. BTW, if you only have conventional tools consider using the channel locks when pulling and installing the motor roller as opposed to using the screwdriver tension technique. The latter one will mutilate the neck area where the roller goes locked in place. Hope this helps someone out there.

Thank you! FIAT dealership wanted $460 to replace the entire thing after one cable broke and they have a 'replace not repair' business mode, refusing to even look at a repair kitl. Less than $20 and 10 minutes of KZbin (watching parts of this video multiple times), I fixed it myself!
