I love the devs for this game. They're not perfect, but it could be a lot worse. They could be the corpo fatcats at EA or the cheating bastards who oversee ARK. All that being said, they really screwed the pooch with the new spawn rules. The maths are WAY out of balance

Weren't you not far from the rosewood fire-station? That one isn't difficult to get into if you want axes.

Here an advice, take bulgar so you can hot wire cars, and use random cars to kill as many zombies as you can.

The best strategy I learned for clearing zeds with cars is to spin in a circle in reverse. I did this for a whole week trying to clear out a farm because for some reason an entire city population decided to live on a single farm. By the end of it, the farm wasn't even worth it due to the sheer amount of corpses littering every single space on it and every farm animal had died (From thirst is what im assuming)

My issue with this game is that all of this is so lengthy, repetitive and boring. I hope for some objectives that are worth the gameplay loop at least.

As much as I'm loving the vids, I've got to say, Build 42 feels like the dev team really tilted the wheel from "Zombie survival sandbox" to "video game ass video game". Some of the design decisions they made are very obviously geared specifically towards "video game balancing reasons" and have abandoned any semblance of realism (a lot of the firearms changes coming to mind, as well as a few other things).

You need an alcohol stash, video tapes, books, magazines, and maybe some animals to farm and socialize with. Then your home won't drive you completely crazy. Keep going! (Farmable animals so far; Rabbits, Sheep, Cows, Pigs, Turkeys, Chickens. Others cannot be domesticated). Cows (Or sheep)+Chickens (Or turkeys) allow for milk, egg, butter production. With rabbits, you can roll with Milk, Egg, Butter, and Rabbit soup, with seasonal vegetables and spices. Easy bulking food. Pork, Beef, and Lamb are a nice bonus, but they're mostly for occasional bone and leather/wool yields, not a viable meat source (At least not for a single person. They take too long to grow and the yield is too large for one person to eat before it rots. That said, killing the young so you don't overpopulate allows for a steady trickle).
