It is, it'd be like a real jet trying to take off in a field of Barley! Weston Park is a country estate so I'd doubt they would allow that. It would be cool if they did though!

era de esperar que el tren delantero si no al despegue al aterrizaje se iba a romper, se veia en el despegue que es un tren muy endeble y delgado y aun más con lo que rebota en el cesped, lo que no entiendo que para estas personas que tienen este hobbie porque no hacen unas pistas asfaltadas que es mejor para despegar, para rodar y para aterrizar. El cesped es malísimo.

Looks like it represents a carrier oleo extension hence the longer nose wheel strut. Needs the shorter conversion imo ??

It hit a lump and that put a crack in the nose leg pin. The production models have a larger pin. Leg extended is 450mm long!

Hi - it’s relatively easy to do. Cut the rudders out and hinge them with tape, I used Blenderm medical tape but anything similar will do. I then cut a recess into the foam between the rudders for the servo and used M2 push rod to connect to the rudders. You’ll need to buy a couple of control horns for the rudder to attach the push rod to. I then just cut a slit in the foam along the spine (at the top of the fuselage) and pushed the servo wire into it and ran it along this slit into the battery bay where it attached to the receiver … and voila, you now have an F-18 with rudders!

Cheers Hugh, not the best filming I know and I’ve since smoothed out the flying a little more and moved the CG further back, although I discovered there is a limit 🤦‍♂️.

@@The43rdHammer This one seems to be very easy to fly/land and will go into high alpha if you just think about it. Don't know if you can get SMC batteries there but Danny came out with a HiV 4400 8S pack we're now using in this and it's outstanding. Actual 75C at 780 gr, measuring 58x45x140mm if you can get it. He also has an 8S 5300 pack but the Euro flies IMO best on 4400.
