The opening line is a reference to The Punch Line by Minutemen, yeah?

Sounds like it would fit in well with the covers and songs made to promote Wolfenstien: The New Order with how the instrumentation has been reworked.

It's amazing lyrics, still today. It's like broadcast codespeak to music, like if English words just one day changed their meaning. Behind it there is still some kind of logic or system, but you can only guess it.

This remix had potential, but it just sucks unrepentantly. The Clown should stick to making shit metal for angst ridden teens. 👎😵👎

Wow, this is the first time I've heard the demo version. Except for the percussion instruments being a little too high in the mix, I love it.

Heard a Peel session by this band and was blown away. They played (I think) this song, Blu Bucket, Tricity Tiara, Neskwik, and Drink Drive. Maybe it was even two sessions, I dunno. Sadly the lo-fi oddness of their two albums doesn't really work and the Peel versions of those songs were much better than the "official" album versions. Hoping the Peel session(s) has made it to KZbin, but it doesn't look like it.

Hipster??? Maybe I am misreading your post, but Indie rock wishes they could be as good as Pavement. What people tend to forget is Pavement doesn't take themselves seriously.
@chaunceyloveshack95302 жыл бұрын
projecting maybe? it's a fun cover of a band they love, wtf about it is posturing? no one does hipster posturing better than wannabe MES fanatics that have probably never written a song in their life, let alone a good one.
