That she did my friend! Also I see you’re a greenskeeper! I’m a landscaper when I’m not fishing and I have the upmost respect for the hard work and dedication you guys relentlessly pour into golf courses!

When I was 12 years old I was given a shot gun. My first time duck hunting I stepped off the path and was completely under water. All I thought about is that I didn’t want to lose my new shot gun so I held it above my head and the water. After about 5 seconds of just standing there, I felt multiple hands grab my wrists and they pulled me out. I spend the rest of the day wet and frozen. Just happy I didn’t lose my new and first fire arm. I always that how funny it must have looked to just see hands and a shotgun come out of the water. What a sight to see. Then as I got older I started to realize just how close to drowning I was. I still had plenty of breath and no doubt I’d be rescued.

Well sir, I was gauging her final step by how far she had left on the waders. Again this was a brand new stream so none of us knew anything about it. I’m smart enough to know how deep it potentially is by the color of the water. The darker the color the deeper the hole. I simply warned her to not go any further due to the risk. She chose not to listen. I just bought her and my buddy seatbelt cutters so they can cut their waders if needed while fishing solo.

You told her too late you should've said don't turn around or don't go this way before not after that while she's stepping back

She’s a “strong independent female”. Doesn’t matter what I said, she wouldn’t have listened.

I had a cousin die in waders never go past your crotch if you fall in and the water washes you away it’s over
@Asquaredoutdoors4 ай бұрын
I’m sorry to hear that. I literally just had this conversation with her to always have an easily accessible knife on you to cut the waders if you fall and fill them with water.
@jody18734 ай бұрын
As a person who almost drown in a river with waders, my heart skipped a beat. Yup, you told her 😂😂

Sorry to hear about your experience. Always carry an easily accessible knife whenever fishing with waders. I’ve had to cut straps on a pair I swamped many years ago
@geoffsaunderson57664 ай бұрын
You can solve that issue by putting a tight belt over the top around your waist! You just float, a lot of experiments on this on line, and no you don’t just sink lol, water weighs the same as water, it’s not suddenly lead as soon as it goes c into waders.

I knew it was going to happen. Fishing with a fly spinner. There is a single fixed hook in the fly portion and a 3barbed treble hook that trails it. I told myself in my head to be safe a use pliers, but I’m a guy so I chose to f around and find out the hard way. Ended up pushing the hook all the way through my finger and cutting the barb off.

Where I live there's a beautiful creek called muddy creek and it looks similar however I only catch big brown trout and never any brooke. They are almost always hunted down by the big brownies. I was curious what township or county are you fishing in?

If you are ever in south central PA I have a ton of spots for you to try! If you haven’t already you should make a point to spend a day on the Yellow Breeches. The club stocks some beautiful fish routinely on top of the standard state stockings. Some pretty awesome views to take in too.
