I got to know Dave starting back in 2002. Really a fun person and nice guy. Not only is he sublime playing any game on any table, but he also loves the game and has fun with it. Matched up with him once in KC playing 8 ball on a bar box (modified Valley tournament rules). We played 9 ahead and he beat me 14-5. Some of the most fun I've ever had playing pool. To make it even better, we started playing games of H-O-R-S-E with trick shots instead of basketball. We had a great time and a sizeable crowd on the rail. Great times.

To answer the 6 y;ear old question below, it appears that the first number is the cue ball origin number, the 2nd number is the hit number, and the target number is the sum of the first two. It also appears he's aiming across from the diamonds and not through the diamonds. From my experience, across from the diamonds would be for playing on a table that plays short, like a Diamond table tends to play... and through the diamonds might be more appropriate for playing on a Brunswick, Valley, Olhausen, etc... (any table that is not a diamond). It also looks like you need to use some running English for this system. The reason I say this is because, based on my experience, if you shoot from 4 towards his 2, with dead-ball (center high), the cu;e ball should track toward the bottom left corner. I would think the amount of English for this system is no more than 1 radius of the tip (1/2 the diameter), which is the old school definition of one tip of English. And the curvature of the tip typically matched a dime.

I once saw Ronnie run 45 straight racks on a 90 foot table. He shot with a curtain rod using only his left foot.

To anybody there that sees David, let him know that Howard Clark remembers when we played softball together in Rolla MO. David had an arm like a cannon. He played centerfield for us there in Rolla. I only got to see him play pool one time, but that was enough to let me know that I wasn't in his league. He always made it look so easy, but I played enough to know it wasn't. Tell David that I am almost 80 now, and in poor health but I remember well the fun we had playing softball. Great times even the worst was wonderful. Nothing but the best for an old friend.
