how do you run a/c with a weber carburetor? do you have a idle up solenoid mounted to the carb? doesn't your idle drop when you turn the a/c on?! asking cause I need help i have a 87 pickup I'm doing a/c on, the stock carb have a idle up solenoid that works but my weber 32/36 doesnt have one so i might have to fabricate something

the ac wont blow cold unless it’s above about 1000 rpms on mine. but it already blows kinda “cool” not COLD to begin with. may try to service it to get it colder

The only issue I have with old trucks is the small space, are you comfortable driving long distances?
@ToyotaPickup19 күн бұрын
honestly my seat kinda sinks in bc it’s so old. i am looking to get the seat redone and that will make a difference. the space is tolerable, im 6’0 and i fit hope that helps. i think if the bench seat is a little more firm and supportive it will be fine for longer trips

It can be difficult to find good reliable information on wiring. Probably best to buy a conversion harness. Unless you have experience and access to good diagrams. I bought the engine mount and axels from euro wise and everything worked fine. Make sure you have the correct axel stubs on your transmission because they are way more expensive than you would think. If you plan to make more power it is not easy to fit a larger radiator and Intercooler while still having room for the hoses off the front of the engine. Also you will Probably need a custom made down pipe. You will need a tach adapter and a cable conversion for speedometer. Also as of recently you can get some pretty nice hydrolic clutch conversion kits although the fitment is tight. I’m sure I’m missing something. Lmk any more specific questions

I broke my antenna as well, but can’t find the replacement, is exactly like yours, any link for it? Thank you
@ToyotaPickup7 ай бұрын
the hard part is that the base of the original antenna doesnt have a screw or threads. you basically have to do the whole install. search for “short antenna” and get one that comes with several screw/thread sizes for the base if possible. i bought one off ebay and it didnt work, then i found another one

Are you running 2.25 pipe to the muffler then stepping up to 2.5 for the muffler and out the back?
