@@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 I got mostly to the end but I have to do some storage maintenance to get more material. Stinking phone has no storage again 😅 thanks for the kind words. I remember it being so small before and it’s doing so well. Just doesn’t want to grow the right direction

@@dahlmasen3084 ah you had to bring those up 😅 they are constantly plagued with mealies. I hope most of them are still alive. I’m getting ready to see if a repot into inorganic bonsai soil will help get rid of pests. Coffee likes a little organic matter I find

@ Sorry to hear that, I haven’t gotten any mealies on my, very tiny and young, coffee trees. But I’m battling some strange big brown and dry spots on their leaves, I’ve never seen them on any other of my trees

@ could be nutrient deficiency but I find that root rot can be a thing too. Gotta be careful to let em dry out between watering

@ hmm not sure. Mine love to dry out and hate to die. None of them have leaves currently but only one died during the heat wave / drought / move / neglect this summer.

@@AlexBraunton often times I do end up pulling it all off one by one. It’s not as time consuming as it is overwhelming sometimes. If you have to do it a few times that way, I find I have to do it very seldomly after. Go figure 🤷♂️

@@tacobonsai 28F/-2.2C at 5 am in the morning when I walked my one dog. Windchill was 19F/-7.2C. I still have a couple of zone 6 (iffy) or zone 7 trees to bring in. 41F/5C at 1pm. Always busy. Even in the cold. I have to take down the bird bath also. Off I go. Stay warm.

I have 2 fiddle leaf figs, one bambino one and one regular size one. The regular size one is rather tall, do you think i could air layer the top off (1/3) of the tree. Do you think it will work? Also any tips on how to get them to branch out?

@@BuffaloBonsai absolutely. I just cut the top off and put em in soil and it works 50% of the time. I did try one air layer and it is going to be a gift for a friend. Turned out great. To get em to branch you just let em grow out until they are lignified or woddy and then cut em back to outward facing buds. They respond rather well to to it all.

@@marycabello6900 I’ve had it about 2 years I think. it is outside as much as possible this isn’t the most cold hardy but it needs chilly weather. I bought it from Meehan’s nursery as a prebonsai in this pot

They look great! Hopefully it doesn’t get too windy up there. If it does get windy I wonder if a bit of sticky Velcro on the bottom of each one would keep them safe up there?

@@dreamingofbonsai that’s a great idea I’ve already had a couple big leaves bring em over. I was gonna repot bigger since they are tropical. It gets insanely windy . I do have guests and events up there so it makes sense

I'm not 100% sure that's a kingsville. Looks more like little missy to me. I've seen people try to pass off cheap boxwood plants for kingsville many times. Still, it's a good looking tree.
