@@morrow275 I got them from ebay and are called “Dillon RL550/XL650/XL750/1050 Powder Measure Knob”. They make adjusting your powder drop a little easier when switching to different loads. A few different people make them and you may find some that of better quality.

Mr Bullet Feeder Gen 2 and an optical bullets sensor from Rex Roach in place of the original bullet sensor.

I think a Mark 7/ Lyman Power Trim Xpress might fit in station 3 and still have use of stations 2 and 4. I have not tested it yet. I have a Dillon trimmer, but it’s too short to fit and still use 2 and 4. You will need a powder relocation kit with the Dillon trimmer. Now sure about the Lyman trimmer.

I decap on my xl750 so no primers are in the cases. The hangup seems to be my hold down die. It acts sort of like an “M”. I think the hold down die tip is a little big. Also I want to add size and trim at station 3 and the FW would interfere. I can’t fit a Dillon trimmer with my current die setup. It’s a good press once you get it dialed in.

So I’m looking to either get an apex 10 or the x10…. I’m looking to make it a solid 223 only press and I’m curious if I’m better off spending the extra for the apex or if this x10 is really worth the savings…. Do you think this press will last the test of time?

*Edit: Factory ammo prices are close to what you can reload for. Unless you plan on reloading for a hard to find caliber you may want to stick with new ammo and maybe keep your brass just in case ammo shoots up higher again. Recouping the cost of your press may take awhile depending on how much you shoot.* I am using a mixture of dies at the moment. Here is a list of what works for me at the moment. Your mileage may vary. Frankford Arsenal X-10, Lee Universal Decap, Mighty Armory XMS Hold Down Die, Lyman Pro "M" Die, Powder Drop Relocation Kit, Mark 7 Powder Check Alarm, Mr. Bullet Feeder Gen 2, Optical Bullet Sensor by Rex Roach, Dillon Precision Seating Die and Lyman Pro Crimp Die. You could use a full set from Dillon, Lee, RCBS, Lyman… etc. You can pick a choose what works best for what you need.

Yes, I had to shorten/cut my .223 mini bullet feeder tubes in order to work right with X-10 because of the case feeder. You may not need to cut yours. I also had issues with seat and crimp in the same station, but I did not have a dedicated seat crimp die. I now have the relocation kit, separate seat and crimp and a full sized Mr Bullet Feeder Gen 2. I used mini feeder until I got the full sized Gen 2 feeder. You can backorder the relocation kit on Midsouthshooterssupply. midwayusa shows they may have some by the end of June.

@@blinggnilb2 Awesome thank you for the reply. Same track, I am also going to go with their Mr. Bullet Feeder Gen 2 but wanted to get it set up and going before I dropped the $$ on the Gen 2. I'll keep searching for the relocator. Any other tips you can think of? Appreciate the responses. Any issues setting up the relocating bar? I watched another video of a guy installing one a year ago and he had to drill out the bushings to get it to work correctly.

I used the Holosun screws. There were 4 sets of screws in the box and I probably used the longest ones. The screws cleared the optic and baseplate while still having enough threads exposed to interface with slide. I also used a torque wrench. Loctite was pre-applied.

Maybe that’s the match director and one of the ROs for the match. 🤷🏾‍♂️

The shape of your powder may be the issue. I hear that these powder measures don’t like extruded powders too much.

@samr4584 My bullet drop is in station 3 since I don’t have a powder check. I use a camera instead. Size, powder, bullet drop, seat, crimp. No need for me to get the Double Alpha extra short powder bar.

This was during a match and I was running Federal Action Shotgun 12ga ammo. It’s made for mag fed and competition shotguns.

I followed the instruction video from the Braggin Rights Precision channel. He does a step by step adjustment of the whole system. I linked his account below. Yeah I set mine up the same way and was having some issues but seems I have most of it resolved. Curious how your getting the 223 bullets to sit with our falling off while moving. I've had to use a neck expander on mine was curious if you did the same.

@@showtime7676 I use an M die to open the case mouth a bit in station 5 right before the powder drop. They don’t always stay in place, but I keep an eye on it.

😂 The cadence and split times are what was important here, not speed. All shots had to be within 0.10 seconds of each other and all in the A zone. I missed one by the width of a 9mm projectile. Where are your shooting/match videos? You don’t have any? Boo hoo

This press simply has way too much movement of the shell plate when trying to size cases or even putting a heavy crimp on pistol rounds. I'm talking in excess of .040" downward movement in the shell plate because there is nothing below it to prevent the shell plate from flexing under load. Yes, I do own one and it is for sale. If you want a press that will do "it" all. get a Dillon 1100 or 1050.@@PenguinWhispererThe

Yeah no need to change up if you are used to the way you do things. I shoot alot so making as many rounds as I can as fast as I can is beneficial. I added a powder check die to make sure I am not low or overcharged. I felt strange keeping track of 10 stations on my X-10 vs the 5 on my Dillon xl750, but I think I am used to it now.

I pay them no mind. Especially when they aren’t posting competition vids themselves. We practice 60+ pistol shots alot at my club. I have never done it on the clock before. I surprised myself. Lol

@@blinggnilb2 for sure! A dude has to have good fundamentals down but it’s totally doable if you’ve shot much at all.
