This song makes me think of having sex with the my very first crush. I really had it bad for her and didn't think she'd ever be interested in me. I literally willed our relationship into existence by stumbling into her life like a bumbling fool lol. She was everything I thought she would be; we did it for the first time ever in her moms crappy LA townhouse when she was out working and we skipped school. It was literally the best feeling of my life. It was the jittery, nervous excitement and utter feeling of love and happiness that you feel on Extasy, mixed with the floating on a cloud and everything is okay you get on opiods. I literally just felt so good in that moment... all my senses were in overdrive. I could feel every goose-bump and hair follicle on her skin, which was softer than anything I had ever felt before. Her hair was like petting the shiny coat of young German Shepherd, almost cold to the touch. It felt like I could smell everything in the room... her hair had a really sharp, pine-like smell mixed with shampoo. I could smell the sheets and the cheap laundry detergent they used to clean it. I could smell her sweaty/used clothes she had tossed on the ground lol. I literally felt high, though I didn't know what any of that felt like at the time. I just felt so happy and satisfied in that moment I wanted to cry. It felt like I had already achieved everything I need to in life and I could die right now and I'd be happy. Those adolescent years when you are discovering the world are really something out of this world. Just thinking about it has literally killed all my anxiety and I feel like I'm floating on that cloud again. Time to sink back into my bed as the sun hangs low in the sky, in my apartment that gets darkest at noon. Enjoying the sweet relief this brief reprise brings.
