With crossing there is usually only about 30 to 37 seconds of warning time the gates take about 13 seconds to drop fully so the crossing is working as it should be and is giving proper warning time of 30 to 37 seconds

Also if the gate just came down it would still be bouncing a little bit so the gate probably has been done for 20 to 23 seconds

That wasn't regular gas, it was DEF aka diesel exhaust fluid for the emissions system. You don't put gas in one side and diesel in the other. Where did you hear that?😂 if a truck has 2 tanks they both take diesel
