The 'insurance' lady is not there to stop the virus spreading. As is shown throughout the film the past cannot be changed. She is there to obtain a pure sample of the virus so that back in the future they can find a cure and retake the surface.

I've seen multiple reactions to this movie, and everyone has an unique POV of the movie. The most remarkable thing almost every reactor doesn't seem to realize..... that the love of Brands life is Edmunds who will be (according to relativity shift) is 74 years older then her and probably died years before she arrived. (23 years on the waterplanet, 51 years in their sling shot around the black hole) This is of course if the time dilation on Edmunds planet will be the same as on earth.

28:02 Train brakes work generally in a simple way: as long as there is pressure in the brake pipe going all across the train consist, the brake remains released. You apply brakes by releasing the pressure into the atmosphere. This is mostly because it stops the train if it accidentally splits. And it stops both parts of that split train. However it also has the benefit that it makes it rather easy to create an emergency brake for the passengers, which after applying releases all the pressure, thus applying the brakes.

They explained why the earth was failing near the beginning. It was a new kind of organism called blight that fed on nitrogen and was able to outcompete plants but was not able to convert co2 to o2 like plants do, which is why all the crops were failing and the last to starve would be the first to suffocate.

The dust bowl wasn't really caused by over farming, it was caused by a drought and bad farming practices like not rotating crops, and monocropping.

The movie I saw in 1977 in a packed movie theater that changed all our lives overnight is the one to see. Sadly, it’s not available anywhere. The pace was quicker and the added jabba appearance in the beginning irks me the most. It slowed the pace down in a crucial heart-stopping time of the film. Also, this movie was #1. And it wasn’t called The new Hope. So far I’ve only seen the original three movies. I’d feel like a traitor if I saw more. I’m sure one day I’ll give in and watch the others. In case you’re interested, I’m 69 and the main difference about young reactors is that they are focused on CGI (I don’t even know what it stands for), and they have a compulsion to know what’s going to happen as they watch. The answer always comes a second after they ask the question, lol. It might be a starseed thing or generational or the quickening or it might be the pressure from schooling and reflects how different the education system is now. In kindergarten we had no homework, I didn’t know how to write my name and wasn’t expected to know.😂 My 4 year old granddaughter has been going to daycare since the pandemic and will start pre-kindergarten and she’s an encyclopedia of knowledge. I tend to think that’s not an improvement but I’m sure I’m outvoted by most people. It’s just an observation, not a judgement. The other thing I’ve noticed is that young people (even to age 50!), read the first half sentence of a text and no more. Headlines are the main communication form.

Coby, you mention possibly watching Mission Impossible. If a Tom Cruise action movie is in consideration, perhaps Edge of Tomorrow? It might be more your vibe. And a cult movie; your reaction would be sure to get views on KZbin.

I enjoyed what was shown of the reactions, but it really didn't fullfil my expectations in terms of editing, sorry to say.

Don't know what the younger generation think happened on those beaches with those 18 to 20 boys, they need to teach this stuff as it really happened to kids in schools and maybe they'd appreciate more what they have now, this was the most brave And truly amazing generation ever and we don't teach the kids enough about, yhey and spoon fed trans nonsense and that there country is full of racists etc etc, to all those who participated in the events of the two world wars we should honour and salute you

Not good choices in editing way too many scenes that were critical and emotional were cut out. Instead less impactful scenes were kept. Strange choices as if trying to minimize the meaning of this movie.

You're what Mickey said..a 'lazy bum" ripping Stallone off for his hard work for your KZbin views. You have no talent at anything so you use other's talent to get views. Disgraceful. Reaction videos have become the biggest scam on KZbin. Do you know how many Rocky "reaction" videos there are? Just ripping Sly off.

It's sad when KZbinr reacts to Rocky solely for likes. So many people love these movies and you clearly don't. You saw all the Rocky reaction videos getting views so thought you'd do one, without any love for the character or series. Just use Stallone and what he wrote and created for your little views. Popcorn embarrassing.
