28:21 But "It" IS Jerry's proper pronoun. Remember at the beginning, Davidge told us in his narrative that the Dracs were not male or female, but BOTH.

28:05 Fun Fact: Jerry's language is performed by bouncing the uvula in the back of the throat, NOT rolling the tongue. Kinda like gargling without water.

YAY! I had a feeling you'd love this one! Somewhat surprisingly, you are the first person the I have heard suggest the idea that Davidge was speaking Drac the whole time he was there and we were just hearing English. Very cool idea! Next up, ALIEN NATION!

This is a great film. I haven't seen it in years. The story line has been copied in other films and shows, Battlestar Galactica (1980) did it, Star Trek: The Next Generation did it...but this is the first and best. Louis Gossett Jr. is amazing as "Jerry".

Coby smart; use big words; use many words; use many, many words. ❤😂😘 Jk, baby, we all love you. Your language is remarkably specific… and accurate… and precise… Coby smart. But I have to tease you for talking so much… lol 🎉… about “episode II” for instance (your knowledge of the cast list of the next movie)… 😂❤ We have to tease you for, but we love it!! It wouldn’t be Coby… 🙄… 😂❤

Tron was great, as was Tron: Legacy. There was also a fairly good PC game titled Tron 2.0 that captured the look of movie pretty well.

Wow.. someone actually reacted to Enemy Mine?.. finally. **Thumbs up**, Think ill subscribe simply for doing that. Edit:- Id say the war didn't end right away, but there might have been a thaw in relations. The short story ends somewhat differently, there's no 'mine' in it and its second half mostly happens on Drakon... the 'Mine' ending set piece was added because the execs couldn't understand the phrase 'Enemy Mine' and the fact its possessive 'Mine' not 'Mine' and thought the audience wouldn't like it unless there was a literal Mine in it. The Mine end segment is often looked at poorly, and in a way it is a bit of a whiplash. But ive never really minded it and this was one of my favorite movies as a kid in the 80s... would be good as a reboot, but i just dont think it'll work without Gossett Jr... BUT the could do a cgi practical Jeriba more in tone of the short story where he is ALOT more alien and reptile like than humanoid.

"And the name Willis Davidge was added to the line of Jerriba." Brings me to tears every time. That is SUCH a massive deal and shows the peace established from their relationship. Also, Garry's Vakerian and Jerriba would get along well, I think. As would Urdnot Wrex! So glad you enjoyed this gem!

*For Mia’s ROTJ reaction* Mind trick is the actual term. It’s not excluding the Force. Killing Jabba earned Leia the nickname Huttslayer from a species subjugated by the hutts (the nikto) George Lucas has said if he knew how popular Boba Fett would become he wouldn’t have killed him off that way. In Legends material he survives and gets out, in new canon material there’s been some hints he might’ve gotten out. (I’m aware of certain things, people. I’m avoiding spoiling it.) Allegedly the other wasn’t going to be Leia, but it was still going to be Luke’s sister, and she would’ve been a trained jedi. The moon of endor and the ewoks were meant to be wookiees and the wookiee planet but George Lucas wanted the species to be more primitive and Chewie already established the wookiee’s as being tech proficient. I’ve also heard they couldn’t afford to make full costumes. Hyperspace and light speed are interchangeable Cremation is traditional for a jedi. It can be both a cremtion and a burning away of the suit. In fact, it may just be the suit. It’s been established (albeit in only one thing) that Anakin’s body disappeared after he died, like Obi and Yoda, and Luke only burned the armor.

No, he was speaking English too, So when we heard him speaking he was speaking English. So Zamis speaks. English. So when you hear English it's English and vice-versa for Drac

The weakest part of this film were the special effects (as stylized and interesting as they were). Some can't see past that. The acting was impeccable (except for the guy who says "Hey, this guy's BTA" 😂). As was the writing. One day, I would love to see a television series that expands this universe and respects the heart of the source material.
