I didnt see this video and i feel so touched by the fact she can sing a whole song they used to sing as 5 members, it's definetely a proof of her improvement as a singer and as a professional herself, showing us how she has grown in this years :(

sorry, but this isn't good. she has no charisma, no confidence, no breath control, no agility in her notes and I haven't even mentioned everything that's wrong with this performance. man, Yeri deserves more care with her voice and her stage presence. she is totally unprepared to be an artist. 😢😢
@yerimimyloves9128Ай бұрын
As her fan tbh i lowkey agree she needs to work on her skills more she has potential but she keeps using her nasal voice

@@yerimimyloves9128 yes yes. But, I wasn't just referring to her vocal "skills", I was referring to everything. such as her skills in rapping, dancing, stage presence and other things.

I don't normally respond to this type of comment, but as someone who has been a fan of Yeri since 2015, now is the time. What does it mean to be "totally unprepared to be an artist?" By those standards, someone like Bob Dylan would be "unprepared" because his voice isn't pleasant or traditionally on key. Or to mention a kpop example, I recently saw a clip of BoA on stage (my favorite song of hers actually, Hello, which she only performed live during her Nowness series of shows) in which she was about a quarter-step off key. But does that really matter? I enjoy that song because of its emotional starkness, not because it was performed with no mistakes every single time. I know there are people who have more vocal range in kpop than Yeri, like Ailee who I have seen in concert, or Ningning who I also have seen at three Aespa shows. But the only requirement that matters to me here is that Yeri wants to sing and wants to perform for fans and for herself. She doesn't have to be perfect or the "most" of anything. I respect her tremendously for being willing to write about difficulties in her personal/professional life through song, as she did in Dear Diary and in These Days. I respect that she asked for opportunities to become an actress at the end of Yerihan Bang and turned that into a new stage of her career. I remember all the times this golden maknae was told by netizens that everything she did was not good enough. I also never forget that her fellow members, and Soshi, and Aespa, and YR reveluvs all have told her over and over that she IS good enough.
@ameliadove6297Ай бұрын
@@csampang1 you could save your energy by just asking me the following question: "what does it mean to be 'totally unprepared'?" and I would exemplify it for you. but, you chose to simply waste your energy saying things that don't make any sense with my comment above. but anyway. at no point did I talk about vocal range, much less compare the voices of a professional, born and trained singer like Ailee with a common singer like Yeri. if you have the slightest knowledge about text interpretation, you would know that I'm not talking about feelings, about performance quality itself, because if I were talking about that, Yeri would still lose and be criticized. I am not and have never been a Yeri hater, quite the opposite, but there is no defense for her vocals. It's not about hate, it's about study and we, professionals in the field, know how to recognize when someone has the minimum amount of technique for something and when they don't. Yeri is the type of singer who sings the basics, because her voice is basic and that's okay since her group has a professional singer who really sings. Yeri's job is an idol's job: to be cheerful, beautiful and popular. in my opinion, there is no harm in that, idols were trained for that. but, don't blame me or get upset with me for being honest and telling the truth. it isn't a personal opinion, it is an opinion based on professional techniques and studies over more than 11 years.

She's so underrated. The reason her vocals don't get to shine because she's stuck doing the rap parts, and RV got Wendy and Joy take the most lines. But listening to her alone made me realize how good her tone is.
@lutfiaalmah7898Ай бұрын
a main vocal like wendy got most lines that's normal for a group. even that "take most lines" you mean she did adlibs left and right.

I love when Yeri gets this husky tone to her tone. She can switch it up and have this sweet, baby nasal voice, and then she goes into her lower register when harmonizing especially. She sounds good on this cover! She projects better than before! I also love that slight wobble to her vocals! Even our nonvocal line sings better than some main and leads in other groups!
@yerimimyloves91282 ай бұрын
yow this is what im saying i commented this on other video but more simple like yeri uses a different tone which is much more attractive that deep and seductive tone when shes singing and that tone is less nasal
@isftishАй бұрын
I really love her lower tones. Her natural speaking voice is fairly low, and she can express her tones much more when singing low, like her own songs Dear Diary and To My Twenty. But she still works hard to hit those high notes, and she is so strong she can sing live right through their 2 hour concerts

Yeri improved so much since debut. Proud of her and the members who supported her throughout her journey. This is the level of skill that we should expect from so called “veteran” groups. The least “vocal” member should still be able to sing LIVE and in tune.
