Hi! it suggests at the end of the video that after finishing the polishing steps, apply a UV coating and follow the manufacturer instructions.

Ultimax Ligno utilizes our Multifit hole pattern, meaning it's always correctly fitted without needing to specifically align the abrasive to match the dust extraction holes. Just place your abrasive on the tool and you’re ready to go.

macht es Sinn Schweißpunkte damit zu lösen ? wir haben eine spezielle Punktebohrmaschine dafür. Will man alle Punkte einer Seitenwand damit lösen, gehen locker 15 Bänder drauf. Diese Geräte sind trotzdem sehr gut, wir haben sowas auch, allerdings mit Druckluft, welche viel lauter sind. Um große Flächen zu schleifen, sind sicher Winkelschleifer die bessere Option. Diese hier sehe ich eher als Speziallösungen, wo die großen Maschinen nicht hinkommen 😉👌

Without knowing the exact type of drill you're using, it's of course hard to make a direct comparison, but in general, belt sanders like the Mirka FBS-B tend to remove spot welds much faster than traditional drills. Plus, as you mentioned, they come with the added bonus of being significantly quieter compared to pneumatic tools. 😉

Cleaning? You should clean your boat once a month, so is good to wet sand a boat every month.

If the surface is just faded, a good polish after cleaning should be enough to restore the shine. Sanding may be needed if the surface is in rough shape, but it generally shouldn't be necessary every time you clean the boat. The manual for mirka sanders clearly states „tighten to 2Nm“ in this step. Why is that even stated if your own video and help article ignores it completely?

Hallo liebes Mirka Team. Ich arbeite jeden Tag mit euren Produkten und ich bin absolut zufrieden! Wir schleifen Mineralguss und Gel Coat Oberflächen und Polieren diese auch auf. Bis jetzt nutzen wir Q Silver 240x400 und Abralon 1000 mit Wasser zum feinschliff. Wären die Galaxy oder iridium nicht die bessere Wahl. Und könnten man auf die Abralon dann auch ganz verzichten? Liebe Grüße

Hello, thank you for your question! The noise level depends on the DEROS model. In this video, the 650 and the 350 models are shown. DEROS 650 has a noise level of 71 dB, and the DEROS 350 has a noise level of 67 dB. OK, so for those as confused as I was when reading the manual and trying to balance my Deros 5650cv for use with a pad, the initial configuration of your machine matters! Mine came with holes 1 2 3 empty so, following the manual, I only needed a screw and a nut in hole 3. Thanks Mirka! Great piece of engineering despite the price.
