Should I keep corn and/or protein pellets in my deer feeders throughout the year? 6 gravity feeders on one on a timer. Bucks have become nocturnal.

I have been using record rack for years now and it does work. And what I like is record rack is made by Cargill and when they use it they use it free range not like other feeds out there where the deer are behind a fence.

We at THE FEED SAVER Company have a lease in the Lampasas Texas for 11 years and have been controlling Record Rack for years now. With our product The Feed Saver It's so new to the hunting industry. We can control all feeds with a timer even Record Rack and we are going to try to help the average hunter with a 55gal. Drum system. It's the most common on the market and every average hunter has one. BUT can't use protein and wants too, because it swells up and cloggs, even corn gets fermented , moldy and the powder even cloggs up too. We have some great big bucks that we have grown, body and antlersize, some have drops and split -Y-points so much larger since using and controlling not gravity feeding at all, with the feed saver. It's a patented product that we are very proud to bring to the hunting industry. It will change everything for the average feeder hunter that wants to use RECORD RACK and control it. You can still gravity feed if you want to. With the feed saver check out KZbin video feed saver or call for info 832-982-buck-2825. Remember SAVING BUCKS KEEPING DOE with the ultimate feed saver. P.S. we have some great idea's and suggestions so call us , and have a great season.....once this product gets out there in the market place you will sell more Record Rack to the average 55gal.feeder hunter!

I have been using record rack feed for years but when i want to set up a feeder what i do is set up the feeder frist my be 15 to 20 yards away from the feeder just dump out a few lbs of corn on the ground and do this for a week or so then just start putting the corn around the feeder. Set up a trail cam to see how the deer are taking it. Then ill start off with the deer nuggets in the feeder then when they get use of eating out of it i start adding the deer & elk feed. Works every time. Winter months i use around 200lbs of feed every 2 weeks when it starts to warm the numbers drop then thats when i go back to the nuggets. Only have 16 acres but the deer keep me busy. "Warning do not hunt over your feeders"

Michigan Paranormal Society, llc why not hunt over a feeder? Isn't that the idea of a bait sight?

I have a trough type feeder located in a creek bottom. It holds 100 lbs of RR feed. I have a trail camera on it and 100 lbs lasts maybe 7-10 days. So keeping my type of feeder loaded is both expensive and time consuming. I do get some raccoon's, but it's mostly deer coming to the feeder. I used to put out corn and only got does and young bucks, and lots of raccoon - and mostly at night. The RR feed attracts the rack bucks, and I get deer both daytime and night. Also I'd say don't put the feed out once acorns start dropping, they'll ignore it for the acorns (but the raccoon's will still come and rob you). I start putting feed back out after the rut is over.

How does record rack hold up in weather? All my feeders are cylinder type gravity feeders, so whatever is pawed out and left over will be open to the elements.
