Well this week Chris has been holding the farm down, I’m so sick I can’t leve the house, Harvesters got bronchitis. Emily is getting over cellulitis, Emily‘s mom just had an appendicitis, My mom has gotten over Covid now, How y’all bin ?

There are those kinds of people you meet in your life and time changes and you grow up and move on with life but you always remember that person and their family that's how garland was, after my dad died Jay and his dad let me help them on the farm and kept me busy for a while. neither of them will know the impacts they had on my life, I was never treated like a stranger any time I was around just another part of the family. He will be sorely missed and remembered often. May you rest in peace

Seems like an unwritten rule that commercial herds have a "smoker" (Charlais X) in them. Drive around, and you usually see at least 1 in every herd of black cattle. I have 1 myself. Go figure. Good video, y'all!

when you put the tire on the tractor and it dropped 24 years ago hydric fitting failed hitting me in my face with the end of the hole with the hot oil to noting me to the icy ground and slide under the bucket that was coming down

Again, I am so sorry for you guys! I've only been watching your videos since early this year, but I always enjoy your Dad's stories and sense of humor. I liked his teasing about your "toy" baler. It would be interesting to hear the owner talk about the choice to put that 50 stall rotary in. It’s seems oversized for 800 cows. Maybe big plans to expand in the future though.

They are milking three times a day

Right, but 50 stall rotary should easily be doing 300+ cows an hour. That’s only 9hrs of milking a day. Barely one shift, except split into three.

Rainy days are shop cleaning days. Haven't seen the entire shop bench since the 5th of October. Hasn't rained since the 3rd, it's November 5 now....

We started milking cows in the wood barn in 1950 and moved to to the other farm in the cinderblock stanchion barn in 1960 and built the milking parlor in 1970 and the cows left in 2013 We have been selling beef weaned calfs ever since
