the reason why the clubbing state is what it is in today is because of cell phones. all the people holding up the cameras instead of being in the moment enjoying the music the club experience. get rid of cell phones in clubs

Story time: I too have the analogue pocket transparent smoke and never noticed the small defect in the finish until this video. At the time, mine was a very small dot. It then grew to a medium sized dot and me, remembering this video, reached out to Analogue for them to repair it. They replied a week later saying they’ll send me a label so I could ship to them. After emailing them 6 times for another week, I got no label and I sent them a very nasty professional email (the only thing I didn’t do was curse, but I said everything else). I ripped them apart in that email. They saw that, sent me a label, and I shipped them my device to be fixed today. Hope I get it back.

Thanks for the update and glad you finally got the label. In my case I got 2 emails from them saying they will send me the label but never did. Your message prompted me to follow up again **professionally** and demand they send the return label. I really hope you get your Pocket back soon. Please let me know when you do. In the meantime, my crack more than doubled in size since I shot this video. It's growing like cancer...

That's really great to hear that you got it back quickly and it's as good as new. In my case, they said they cannot send me a return slip because I'm outside the US. So they asked me to return it at my own expense (which somehow I will eventually get that refunded) and when I asked them on the time estimate to fix and return they did not respond. The problem I have with that is that they will use UPS to ship it back and I'm not sure if I will have to pay import duty fees again. When I asked about that they did not respond either. So I decided not to send it back for now.

Thanks. The ZX81 is a gem. You can run the Spectrum Next in ZX81 mode and it will think it is a ZX81. It uses FPGA hardware emulation so latency, output, and all features will be intact and identical to the original. Been fiddling around with Z80 machine code. It's so much fun and a total time sink :)

Mine started off as a small dot as well and kept growing. Now it's over 1.5 inches long. It got bigger since I filmed this video. How long have you had your transparent for?

@@coolermisty update here. My dot is still the same but on the left side top of my unit, when the screen is on, I can see a light leak coming through. I have contacted Analogue and they’ve been responding to me so act fast and see if support will help you out Update 2/17/24: Analogue sucks. They said they would send me a label so I could send the device into them, 6 emails after, it's Saturday and still no label -- but they respond to my emails complaining about them taking so long.
