My machine is very old, more than 25 years old probably. It's Janome Craft 4000. It has never been oiled as it says in the instruction not to oil it. I clean the fluff regularly from the bobbin area. I was truly heartbroken to hear some strange sound coming from near the place where the stitchers are displayed. It disappears when I see slowly. Would you recommend I open the whole machine up, as much as im able and have a look if there's anything happening? Is it ok to run it briefly without the cover? But, first of all, I'd accept your suggestions. Im upset terribly as I'll never be able to replace it; it was a gift from my darling husband, who's no longer with us. He'd knew what to do. Please, please help me if you have time, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🤗♥️🥀
