Absolutely beautiful! So much color and life, I kept expecting to see Ariel around the corner. How deep were most of your drives?
@KarimLounesDiving2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the positive feedback. The deepest we have been on the dives we did was less than 65 feet, but the bottom off the wall is over a 100 feet, anyone could venture down deeper, But they would need to end their dive earlier and remain the surface while the others continue diving. Hope this helps.

I appreciate how you both depict and elucidate the underwater life, with each fish having its own unique story to tell rather than just a plain view. Scuba diving is not just about swimming underwater; it's about gaining a better understanding of the life within it.

Can you elaborate on the equipment you used to create this great video?

GoPro Hero Black 7. Underwater housing for the GoPro. Backscatter filters. The camera was plugged on the top of my Aquatica D500 housing that I was using to shoot photos. I mostly use GoPros to shoot videos underwater. Aerial photography: DJI drone

Hows this boat for solo travelers/divers?
@KarimLounesDiving2 ай бұрын
I was a solo traveler on this boat when making this video. The group was so good, it felt like a family after just one day together. If your question is about diving solo, I am not sure exactly how it works , but you certainly are tied to a schedule since you won't be able to dive while the boat is moving from a site to another. There always are dive guides who ask divers if people are going to follow or just dive as buddies on their own. Divers need to get back on time obviously so they can move the boat to the next dive site. As long as you follow the guide, you don't have to have a specific buddy, I guess. You may shoot them the question via their agency's site: Search Allstar Liveaboards.

Yet another OUTSTANDING Karim Lounes video production!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
@morganames81423 ай бұрын
Karim, are you down there *NOW* diving Bonaire? I was there last summer and was sad to learn of the Stony Coral Tissue Disease that is killing off corals at a surprising rate ... and requiring disinfecting ALL dive gear in heavily chlorinated rinse tanks after each dive so as not-to-potentially-transport the disease to as-yet unaffected dive sites. Also, how has the oil spill from Tobago affected Bonaire's diving -- only on the windward eastern side of the island? Have a great time!!!!
@KarimLounesDiving3 ай бұрын
Yes, I have heard. Parts of Bonaire's east coast, including Sorobon, Lac and Lagun, have been contaminated with oil, and vulnerable mangrove, fish, and coral ecosystems are at risk, the government said in a statement on Monday, 26th 2024. The government has not declared a state of emergency but has advised visitors to avoid the polluted locations. On Social Media platforms, divers seem to still enjoy the dive sites and in their videos and comments, the sites seem to be healthy. Need to keep monitoring the situation.

Hello again Karim. Great video as expected. I just came back from Cozumel and did my very fist diving video. I used Insta360 X3 camera with underwater aftermarket hosing to film on the boat as well as the first seen in the water. The rest of the footage was ruined by the housing. The rest of the dive was done with the SeaLife Micro 3.0 with two powerful light, which overexposed some parts of the video. I can use some pointers. Thanks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mV7YmoeGm7etbsU
@KarimLounesDiving4 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. I watched your video. I think you pointed to some of the issues already in your comment. I was impressed by the stability of the Insta360 X3 when you were on the boat and when walking to get in the water. The 360 cameras do better on land in dry environments. Once the housing gets wet, and when you take the camera underwater with that housing, the results have not been great, not just in your case, but we have tried some 360 cameras and didn't give a great result, either. The 360 Videos are cool, especially the ones where you can post the video and have the users rotate and look around not just to give them the final edit, but to shoot a good quality production, they don't seem to do well underwater. The SealLife, on the other hand, did better underwater. Shooting video in the daylight with lights is a bit tricky. The camera did not know how to adjust, thus the overexposed corals and bluish colorless backgrounds. I still recommend either a GoPro or a DJI Osmo Action with a filter for underwater videos. Those do much better for almost the same budget. Hope this helps.
@philk.35024 ай бұрын
@@KarimLounesDiving Thank you for your feedback. I have a brand new Insta360 Ace Pro, which is supposedly an improved version of GoPro. I'm going to use it with filters and no external light on my next diving trip. Definitely want to see the results. Thanks again for the tips.
