I started bawling when I first heard this yesterday, after not having heard it for many years. It hit me so hard, and then I realized that my older brother (a musician) played this song- he loved Nilsson. He was in a fatal car accident and died in 1978. That grief came right back as if it was yesterday. I too love Nilsson. RIP ❤ Harry. RIP ❤ Michael.

Needed this today. Just said goodbye to our dog, Charlie, who had been with our family for almost 17 years. They always leave us too soon. Kato

This song is from the Spring of 1971. Brings back memories for me of 10th grade and being 15. Think there was a tv ad at this time also that that used this music. Plymouth Arrow?

the organ bass with the vibraphone and the mellotron swells in the chorus... and the screams from the crowd. I'm not one for live covers, but fuck is this delicious.

The Simpsons Brought me Here good few years ago an even though I was just a kid back when I first heard it, it automatically gave me that deep missing somebody/nostalgic feeling and as I'm older now and I lost my sister last year to suicide and my mum the year before to a failed suicide attempt which left her in a persistent vegetative state the song hits me in the feels so much harder and so much more differently😢
