I made the mistake of buying one. Hand soldering is a pain in the ass, Cured ink breaks off very easily during hole-through assembly or even by picking it up. Resolution is .... just "meh!" Ink only lasts 6 months, , just like the solder paste, clutters the tip very easily and "flows" during curing, creating shorts..... the list goes on. The promise is bigger than the result. We've also tried to create PCB's by burning away copper with a laser engraver, but the best results we get from the Wegstr CNC milling machine. Its slow ( almost as slow as the Voltera ) but no curing is involved, normal soldering can happen and the resolution is fantastic. Here in the Netherlands the Voltera costs ~ EUR 5.000,=, Substrates aren't cheap and the ink and solderpaste are around 50 to 100 EURO each. This makes the process of creating a "maybe it works" prototype quite expensive. For EUR 3.000 we've bought the CNC mill and that is about it. Normal PCB's can be used, no special tools needed, holes are getting drilled, normal solderpaste can be used etc... . An expensive lesson learned..

What a Nice Scanner Or Kana A Led Printer For The PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components using conductive pathways, tracks or signal traces etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive board. Components are connected through the conductive material below a non conductive board, the common conductive material used in packaged PCBs are usually copper, since copper is cheap and common. We Love It. Thank you Very Much.

Its a cool idea and all, but its not worth the $6000 price tag IMO, and is just a small glorified desktop cnc. I am not down talking your video or anything of the sorts and think its wonderful material. Just think that this machine better fits a prototyping system, but still arguably less effective than a laser etching cnc due to the line width and paste thickness / stringing.

I did pay way less than the price it has now. It is a machine made for exactly that - prototyping. Not sure what you mean about a laser, you cant't dispense solder with one of those.

@@JonnyBergdahl You can use a laser to etch a mask onto a pcb, the use ferric chloride to remove the unmasked copper. Both ways are good, did not mean it to sound like I was criticizing you or anything.

@@omicron0mega I etched my own PCB's 30 years ago so I know that process. Still have light sensetive PCB's in stock. 🙂 The video shows the machine putting solder paste on the PCB, that part you can't do with the laser.

NEATO should not be in business. This is the worst piece of garbage to ever be pushed out to consumers. It is terrible programming from start to finish. Setup doesn't work on cross operating systems. It will only setup on a Apple OS. The reason it gets stuck and does weird stuff. Ready for this...dirt. The very thing it picks up is the very cause of its failures. I was thinking i had it resolved by hard rebooting it before each run. But no! You clean it once and it might run flawlessly. But the next time, even after you clean out the bin and wipe everything down, it will get stuck. Mine even fell down steps. Its is terrible!!!!! DO NOT BUY !!

I had mine for over 3 years and it has worked just fine (Yes, I use iPhone), except for the times it says it is stuck. Then you have to figure out what the problem really is. It finally stopped working last week due to problems with the lidar. They have decent support and it only took them 10 minutes to figure out what was wrong. I ordered some new belts for the lidar, fingers crossed that is the problem.
