I have sound for days then randomly nothing, after blood sweat and almost tears as a quick fix i found it i turn off the car, lock it while im in it, then unlock it , open driver door close it, lock it again, unlock it and start car it re boots it for some reason and sound returns. strange thing to have to do but watching your video i will try the factory method, does that code work for all or idependant. i have a 2010 e63 saloon w212 with same android. regards Alan

Can’t find the factory setting tab. Phone goes to pair but no CarPlay and it says the Bluetooth is connected. The weird thing is when I look at the CarPlay on my phone it is a different name then the Bluetooth name that it connects to

Have that one awesome unit on my 2018 GLE, these cars are awesome with the Naturaly aspirated V6 what gets old on the older vehicles is the tech and screen this solves it and makes it a current car, I have also a GLS 2022 for the wife with the new MBUX that did not even come with wireless car play….

Most went well with the conversion on my GLE, CAN setup version is important, also when changing CAN settings power of the car you have to get out and lock wait five minutes changing CAN without reset causes issues…for wired CarPlay if you don’t want to pair make sure to bring USB 1 out not 2. My audios works but if I take a call people say I sound like am in a bath tub, any ideas on how to fix? Also restart without the locking trick how to have not found…then the last thing tethering gets in the way of car play wireless…so if you want to use the android NAV or other things like Spotify on the unit how do you install the SIM card there are two slots on the back but they are hard to reach and how to insert the SIM card in which is not document nor what carriers are supported in the USA I would like to use the native functions…
