Oh what a lovely gem for Endeavour lovers and poetry lovers.

I have been putting off watching this episode - and I haven’t watched this video yet but I will. I appreciate your reviews, insights and all the information and research you have done! I have watched the whole series twice, and all of Endeavour and Lewis once each, and this is the only episode I haven’t seen. I know I will be gutted. This is my all time favorite show, and my fantasy escape place. I’m just not up for it yet.

Now I'm into my 62nd year in Greece I've missed out on the Morse series, but thankyou so much, Kit, for such a complete and sympathetic tour of my old college. With your gentle voice in the background, empty places filled with faces from the past, ending, alas, with the memorial bench where two of my tutors' names were carved: Stephen Metcalf and Tony Nuttall.

Anyone seen the episode of Cleaner with Greg Davies and the famous portrait the old Aston Martin birdie had on Her strong walls. Never ever forget, we are here because the shoulders of giants were painted by Gods. I miss you Duke.

Good to see these two with their respective Geordie backgrounds. I'm the same age as Kevin. I remember when I was at College there was a Geordie in my class who good humouredly told me I wouldnt last 5 minutes in a Geordie pub with my Cheshire accent.😂

Thanks so much Mr Sullivan. Your review did bring tears to my eyes. I began watching the series in my early twenties and to this day I continue to watch reruns when they become available. I’ve yet to find another detective series as captivating and enjoyable as Morse. Thank you for keeping the memories alive.

Great review Kit. Like you, this episode is the least I have watched of the series. It seems so final what with the passing of John Thaw.

Oh my gosh, I still can’t think about the final episode of Morse without crying and like everyone else, I miss Kevin loads but I have to say, Robson Greene is an absolute treasure. We’ve all seen him act but does everyone know he can sing like an angel as well? Do yourselves a favor and look for Robson and Jerome on YT and you’ll see what I mean. Now all you Brits may already know this but I’m American so I’m quite proud of myself for finding these gems. Love to both you fellas from Lynda in the US. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧

What a treat to learn that two actors I have admired for decades are also wonderfully down to earth gents. I enjoyed every minute of the program. God bless all who made it possible. Thank you.

Have seen many episodes of "Grantchester" on PBS. Always thought Robson Green looked a bit like Paul Newman. That aside, the episodes always kept my interest. And "Inspector Lewis" was always a bit like a corn maze trying to figure out the culprit. Fantastic show. Also remembered the one where Kevin built his own rowboat. Rowing at the sea must have made him feel like a tryout for the Oxford 8.

Well, technically, it is spelled gusset. We amateur clothing makers put them in the crotch and under arms of our garments occasionally. Apparently spell check was not enabled or the AI spelled it wrong

I watched an interview awhile ago with Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox. I couldn’t help but smile noticing the obvious affection Laurence had for his co-star on “Lewis”. I remember thinking then that Whately must be a pretty nice guy.

What's a guset?

It’s an intentional misspelling to get interaction in the comments and we all took the bait 😅
@OrangeySky112 ай бұрын
@@leigh4928I think it was more a simple reflex finger movement that resulted in a typo. It happens.
@leigh49282 ай бұрын
@@OrangeySky11 nah it’s intentional. I see so many channels do it. I don’t believe they wouldn’t proofread their titles. They put a lot of thought into it. Creators have to pay close attention on the best way to get views based on their title and thumbnails. As seen here people can’t resist commenting on the misspelling. That comment feeds the algorithm-doesn’t matter what they write. The comment alone is what counts. It’s similar to rage bait, it gets interaction plain and simple.
