Dude... you're a blogger, right? you have nice microphone? then why the heck are you speaking into mic directly while your phone speaker is so far away from the mic? and instead you're showing the phone's screen like the video is about the 4 bubbles on it? facepalm...

Anyone aknows about an AI app that can organice all types of file based on content? All multimedia files. Example: i give a folder of sound effects, classify them, eliminates duplicates, and names them and puts tags based on the content. Does something like this even exist?

I appreciate these interviews but recently Im feeling conflicted about using chat-gpt, etc based on how much water is being used up because of it. Could you please do an episode addressing AI’s climate impact and what can be done to help mitigate the effects?
@DougFinke3 күн бұрын
😆👆🏻Hope you are also conflicted about: Avocado trees are notably water-intensive. On average, producing one kilogram of avocados requires approximately 1,000 liters of water.

I appreciate you feeling conflicted. It shows that you truly care for an ethical use of technology. I've felt the same way before. Now I understand that these tools enhance me significantly so I mostly use them for things that matter such as work, relationships, hobbies, etc. The impact to climate is less than things like streaming, video games, electric vehicles. All which are beneficial to human wellbeing too. In fact, the push for the US to fund nuclear energy has begun due to AI becoming a new paradigm in computing. This will ultimately lead to cheaper clean energy! 😁

Liked the information here, a good interview. But I have to agree with these other remarks about editing. Personally, I would much rather manage the question of 'time efficiency' on my end by using the playback speed. But if you are going to have a conversation, just have it. And let it be. Be human. Pauses, "umms", gestures - they are information too, let's remember. They aren't "errors". It's all part of how human beings communicate with one another, how we reveal ourselves and our thoughts on subjects we care about. People want to experience that. I think that in the age of AI we should really think hard about who we are, what matters to Ourselves and Others , and bring grace and dignify to our social encounters. The funny thing about this is that the conversation is actually graceful, dignified, but then someone ran it through some kind of editing software that truncates the conversation with tiny microaggressions. It's a shame.

This video is unfortunately a perfect example of how one can ruin an interesting conversation by way too much and most of all careless automatic editing. It‘s really hard to follow the train of thoughts here. Can you please upload an unedited version? That would be greatly appreciated.

too much editing and cutting in this pod, weird to listen to it, there's loss of natural flow in a conversation.

One of the more interesting podcast interviews i have consumed in the past months / yr. Matt Cynamon has built some cool tools here, and appreciate the candour in sharing it here. Am sure some other VC funds have some of these built (Yohei Nakajima comes to mind), but USV is of course one of the giants of venture. Impressed with the suite of tools that USV has built out, and grateful that they and Matt have been more public about it.

Yeah, keep feeding the tech BS that will make you useless in the short future. How about thinking for yourself, reading a book and harvesting it for yourself? Nevermind, I should have already accept by now that there are tons of people that don't have the courage to think for themselves. Maybe those people won't end up being too useless after all, maybe you'll have the chance to serve as a battery for AI.

Careful relying on AI for Nietzsche especially - this is a great example especially when it comes to meaning. You must know the answer to vet whether the AI understands. This is separate from the fact that many of his aphorisms can say much more than the words might impart.

Surprisingly, I've been doing this as well for my Audiobooks. ChatGPT doesn't lead into areas that it should, like a person might. I find this especially true with my 1L studies. One law may, at it's face, seem to mean something completely different from what the jurisprudence actually intended. Hence, my modern take on a trope that can be misattributed to some dead european guy, "asking the right question is more important than knowing the right answer"
