Glad you enjoyed it. The arrangements are wonderful. You can’t help but smile and tap your feet while listening.

Interesting piano! Approx how many survive featuring the target game?
@jjquash Жыл бұрын
Only 3 of the Style 6 were made with the target ie: 6T. There is one style 5T known to exist too.

Tune playing is Paean of Triumph.

Yes Pean of Triumph is a great tune on this instrument. It’s my go to when I play for guests. This video is the first time the instrument played after a 3 year restoration and final tuning. Hope you liked it

Wow! a piano and violin played mechanically! Those guys were certainly clever--and you for refurbishing it!
@jjquash3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. An awesome instrument invented over 100 years ago without computers. It’s no Itzhak Perlman for sure. But for a mechanically operated violin, it’s pretty neat.

Im not sure what a 105 is but i came here searching up my own name
@jjquash3 жыл бұрын
Don't know if your name is Wurlitzer or Quashnock. A 105 is the model number of this band organ, built by Wurlitzer. They made numerous models, each with it's own style or model number. The 105 was a very popular model, but is one of their smaller ones. Hope you enjoyed the video.

I noticed the xylophone stack moves in sync with the piano's hammer rail when the soft pedal is activated, providing a little dynamic variation on the xylophone as well. Cool!

jjquash The Caliola is a Roll Operated Self playing Calliope (or Pipe Organ).
@jjquash4 жыл бұрын
Wurlitzer made a relatively small number of Caliola. Most were made with wood flute pipes. A small number were made with brass whistles most likely an attempt to compete with calliope makers. They look just like a normal Caliola, but have brass whistles instead of wood pipes. Both play the same APP roll.f the brass whistle type, only three are recorded as being inverted whistles. Very rare, this being one of those three.

Very nice! Plus, for the courtesy of you and others who view this, I have the lyrics for this very well-known hymn and they are below if you want to read them while listening or sing along. Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King; Peace on earth and mercy miled, God and sinners reconciled! Joyful all ye nations rise! Join the triumph of the skies! With angelic hosts proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem!" Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!" Hail the heav'n-born Prince of peace! Hail the Son of righteousness! Light and life to all He brings, ris'n with healing in His wings. Mild He lays His glory by, born that man no more may die. Born to raise the sons of earth, born to give them second birth. Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!"

Hello. Where do I get such a music role for my organ?
@jjquash8 жыл бұрын
Sandro, I am not sure what you are asking for here. The "music roll" is just that, a roll that looks like a player piano roll that ONLY works on the Bruder 107 or any other model with a similar 52 key system. So if you have such and organ, you can get rolls from Orgelbau Fuchs in Switzerland. Their email is [email protected]. If you looking for a copy of the recorded music, I did make a demo dvd with the same video plus an informative insert. If you are interested in that email at [email protected]

You can also buy music rolls for the Bruder 107, and other scales, from Creatonal in Switzerland.

About the trumpets: The brass reeds do not stay in pitch because the metal expands and contracts with the changing temperatures, and they just don't stay in place because of that. I've noticed that certain organs tend to "like" certain temperatures better than others. Kennywood's 153 tends to sound best in the high 70s-mid 80s. In summer 2010, hottest summer on record, the organ's trumpets sounded (especially the C) sounded out of tune on the 90+ degree days. During the 30- December days, sour!

Thanks for the comments. My first major restoration. So, I'm listening to the playback while I type this response..... I've got to do something about those Trumpets! They just dont' stay in pitch.

GREAT JOB!!! I think this is the best-sounding 105 on KZbin right now, or at least one of the best. It is light-years ahead of most of the "replica" organs out there. Some of them sound decent, but too many sound terrible! I wish the builders would spend more time listening to ORIGINAL 105s to ensure they do a good job building and voicing the pipes! Also, thanks for restoring the original paint scheme. Too many people, even today, feel they have the right to strip off the original paint.

I did all of the work myself. The front is painted with oil base enamel and the rest clear lacquer. Nickle plating was by a company done in Atlanta. After this video I did some more regulation on the reeds as they were not even, and retuned some of the upper pipe work. It is tuned a whole step flat (B 440) as designed. I am awaiting the carvings for the upper gallery.

Very nice! Love it! I have a video of Kennywood's 153 playing the 150-scale version of this march, and the organ sounds like the voicing was modified a bit. Sounds cool though, reminds me a bit of a European Draaiorgel
