Question? : can i use curlying products like creams or gel with water and then roll the hair on the rods? or will the curling products mixed with the chemical solutions ruin the perm?

Does leaving the solution in for too long damage it more? Considering that the instructions mention less time, also I permed my hair recently and I have to redo it cause it wasnt curly enough, im waiting a week until I do it again, is a week enough? And which strength should be used on a reperm?
